Because it's a Nordic ware pan. This pan is very sturdy and good quality, and yes very pretty pan with amazing results.

How are all of you slicing the cake? Are you following the design? or cutting like a regular cake and having interesting shape pieces?

I follow the design. Only bc I like more of a uniform look. But there's nothing wrong with unique pieces. That way people can have more or less cake depending on their preference.

Have any of you used regular box cake mix? If so, how many boxes should I expect to use?

Ive used one full box and a half before a it came out perfect.
