These days most people have a DVD/CD player or two or three, but when I saw the versatility of the connection options with this player, I decided to go for it. The Good: HDMI allows direct connection to a computer monitor or smart TV. The USB connection also allows this. As an amature musician I am always looking for alternative ways to playback my music lessons. This unit precisely plays both the DVD lessons I have as well as the essential CD practice soundtracks. It comes with a very nice easy to use remote that has spot on slow motion and repeat features that are valuable for learning tunes. Play features are HD, HDCD, DVD, Compact Disk/Digital Audio, MP3, and CD Video. Extremely light weight and small in size. It fits well with my other devices during practice sessions and it is easy to pack when I need to travel. The open/close drawer operates very smoothly and all the controls on the unit are touch friendly. However, I find that the remote control is far superior in ease and accessability and I use that regularly. Being able to play CD tracks through my desktop using the HDMI connection is very helpful when I want to play a sound track along with a DVD lesson. I have played many DVDs from Scotland, Ireland and the UK including the Transatlantic Sessions and this unit plays those flawlessly without any need to choose a region. It is truly region free. The unit I received is very quiet and as I indicated, the open/close tray is flawless in operation. I know, I have several other DVD players, but this very compact and versatile unit will get some real play time. I also need to mention that it apparently comes with a three year warranty. Included are all the cables, HDMI, USB and RCA. I do have an older television that I sometimes use so the RCA plugs will be helpful if I decide to use that for playback. I also have lessons that were recorded on CD Video so this unit provides me with another alternative for playback. The not so good features are minimal: Does not come with batteries for the remote and you need to get 2 AAA batteries (I like to use the rechargeables and they last a long time). Just be ready to add batteries as you will want to use this unit right away. Control buttons on the unit are limited to open/close, play/pause, stop. (But, as I mentioned the remote is superior and quite convenient to use for my music lessons. The slow motion and repeat functions are very precise and easy to use). No other negatives from my usage experience. If you are looking for a DVD/CD player that has convenient versatile connectivity, great picture quality, light weight for packing and travel and exceptional convenience for playback of music lessons, this is a very nice value. Welcomed addition to my music learning journey. Although I have tried to attach some pictures, you really need to see the unit in action to appreciate the true quality. I do own other devices from this company that is, I believe, located in the United Kingdom and I have been very satisfied with the quality of those players as well. Cheers.

This DVD player works and is awesome. Easy setup. Just connected to the TV using the RV/RCA cable it came with. Also came with a HDMI cable. Have to press Setup on remote and change the resolution to the 1080 to get crystal clear picture. Also have to press Zoom on the remote and make sure that is off so picture isn't too big or small on TV. Remote didn't come with batteries, but easy to pop in 2 AAA batteries. The open/close button on the machine doesn't work, have to use the remote for that, but that is no biggie. Everything else works great with it. Only using it as a DVD player, can't comment on anything else with it. So far very happy with it. Edit: Just tried playing a Region 2 DVD with it, and it worked great! Still with crystal clear picture. It really is a region free DVD player. Great Buy!

**UPDATE** Changed to 1 star as it has been less than two weeks and it stopped working! It would not eject and then would not power off, I unplugged it and plugged it back in and now it will not power on. I requested a return from Amazon. The DVD player is small and very light, so light unless you hold the top you can push the DVD tray back without it sliding back or use the button on the remote to pull in the disc. The picture quality is Very Good and the sound is fine when the player is on. A lot of features on the Remote but the play buttons are a bit small - they should stand out more as I find my self hunting for them a lot, but that is a minor issue. I did have a problem though I had no sound from my TCL sound bar when I tried to watch TV when this DVD player was connected but POWERED OFF. The sound came back when I powered on the DVD player OR if I unplugged the HDMI cable from the player. After some research, I found it seems the CEC pin in its HDMI port interferes with the HDMI soundbar but only when the player is powered down. Getting an adapter that blocks the CEC pin ( https://www.amazon.com/BlueRigger-HDMI-CEC-Less-Adapter/dp/B07BFL8TM8/ref=psdc_172544_t1_B00DL48KVI ) fixes the problem but since the player is less than $30 adding another $15 to make it right is kind of bothersome. Once I got the adapter I had no more sound issues and even though it sounds like I am complaining a bit I feel if you don't use an HDMI soundbar you have a great player for under $30

Light, runs all DVDs, HDMI cable included, good features, and cheap.

Its an excellent, cute dvd player. May be a bit costlier than other commonly available dvd players in the market but it is a much smaller and space saving machine with great performane and versatality. One can go for it without any shadow of hesitancy and avail of the highest satisfaction and peace of mind it brings to the buyer. Just buy it and be amazed. Gautam Sengupta, Manipal, Karnataka.

Close function is not working properly

Recieved today afternoon on 17.2.2024. packing is very filthy. Even the paper box in which the manufacturer packed the DVD player is very cheap and unprotective during transport. How ever to the good luck of mine item recieved in good condition. Installed today evining and played audio CD and audio DVD and USB 2.0 too. All are played well. Construction of the player is not strong at all and to some extent delicate.should be taken care to place the player on a good protective surface. No karaoke functionality. Remote is plasticky and lite to handle. Can not withstand droppings from hands.Automtically detects CD/DVD and starts playing. I played Indian CDs and DVDs only. My rating is 4stars. I have used blue rigger HDMI 4k cable for soundbar connection.
