In the past I've used dark colored pads made of bamboo and microfiber. I wanted to try light colored pads so I could see how soaked the pads were. With the dark pads I can't really see how "full" the pads are. I was afraid the white pads would stain more easily and they do. It's better to rinse them right after removing them to limit staining. I noticed that the blood rinses out more easily than the microfiber pads. The microfiber/bamboo pads seem to hold onto the blood a lot more, which can be annoying if you wash them by hand. These pads feel a lot softer on my skin than the microfiber pads as well. To avoid staining I recommend rinsing them right after use. If the blood dries at all it seems to leave stains. This seems to be the case if you just wash them right after use. I always soak them in Oxiclean whitening powder with warm water. You may have to do this more than once if some staining remains. Then wash them with laundry detergent.
