I'm not real sure, probably about 1 to 2 pounds.. I bought it as a gift for my son and it it is beautiful. He is a police officer and has it on display in his office and he says everyone comments on how beautiful it is!!

Can the base be engraved?

There is only one spot to possibly engrave a little something. It is on the book that she is standing on. Not much space, but you could engrave a date or a name.
