pH-D Feminine Health Boric Acid Suppositories for Women, 600 mg, 24 Count

Like many women submitting reviews here, I was diagnosed with BV and prescribed antibiotics, but let me give some history so as to give a clearer picture of my ongoing journey. I will try to make it somewhat brief but cover what I have found in my own research. I am not a medical doctor so let me be clear that this is simply me sharing my experience. I am 50 years old and peri-menopausal with an active sex life with my husband and am very healthy. I exercise regularly, eat extremely healthfully, get regular check ups and am a non-smoker. I have had 2 children and had a copper IUD for 7 years before having to remove it due to unexplained bleeding that stopped immediately upon removal of the IUD. I have always been a person with a decent amount of vaginal discharge, but never with odor or anything out of the ordinary. In the past couple of years, I have noticed that there was a distinct odor to my discharge on and off. I once forgot to remove my menstrual cup for a day and a half and figured it may have been the culprit, as the odor often went away for long periods of time, always to come back again. More recently, I had noted that the odor had returned and was stronger (not exactly fishy as many women report but definitely not pleasant) I went to my gyn for a routine swab and they found evidence of BV. I had never been diagnosed with this before so I was truly put off and not thrilled about taking oral antibiotics, but I did as I was instructed, taking care to up my daily intake of probiotics to twice daily, two different types to be certain I didn't get a yeast infection as well. About a week after finishing my 7 day course, I started my menstrual cycle and after the first day, the smell was back stronger than ever and lasted even after my period ended. I went back to the gyn and they tested my for the same things again, plus urea plasma. I came back positive on both and was given 2 antibiotics, one for BV and the other for ureaplasma! My feelings on antibiotics is that we have totally abused them and are the main cause of their increasing ineffectiveness, so I decided to do some research. I spent hours reading medical studies and women's accounts of their BV/ureaplasma cases. I read hundreds of doctor's reports and lab results and kept seeing the same antibiotics regimen and recurrence of the BV, even with increased probiotic supplementation, not washing with soap, abstaining from sex, not douching etc, etc, etc that doctors advised, mine included. I also read hundreds of accounts of women getting relief and less recurrence by using boric acid suppositories. I then came across a study in California by a bio-tech company that is in it's second phase of a study based on the natural flora (probiotics) present in women's vaginas and a strain that they have found to be extremely promising in helping the battle against BV, which creates a "biofilm" on the inside of our vaginas. This biofilm is more permeable than our usual mucosal coating and allows other pathogens to pass though. Our vaginas need to be at a Ph of between 3.5-4.5 and if they are not, we become open to infection and overgrowth of certain flora within the microbiome, and this can lead to BV and other problems. If you know anything about antibiotics, they kill ALL the organisms, the good and the bad so we are left depleted and again, open to the overgrowth of certain strains, plus any bacteria that might be introduced. Here is where the boric acid comes in. Although the study in California didn't mention boric acid in their process, I combined the fact that there are an overwhelmingly large number of women who have had amazing results using boric acid to help balance their vaginal Ph, with the universal antibiotic recommendation (virtually all the tests state that metronizadole has the best results) and concluded that if I were to finish the course of antibiotics along with the boric acid suppositories to help bring my vaginal Ph back into balance, then complete the treatment with the strain of flora that is currently being researched for treatment in the medical world, maybe I could use myself as a guinea pig and see what the results would be. Unfortunately, I have not found the strain they use (L. crispatus) available on the market in the amount they are using in the tests, however I have found it in smaller amounts. The other strains that are mentioned over and over as being specific to the vaginal microbiome are are L. rhamnosus and L. reuteri, There are others, to be sure, but these ones are mentioned most frequently associated with studies specific to BV. Currently, I am finishing my 3rd antibiotic (second time on metronyzadole) and on my 5th day of nightly boric acid suppository use. I have had no discomfort whatsoever using them and from the first morning after use, there has been absolutely no odor. I plan to use the boric acid for 2 more nights, finishing up with the last day of my antibiotics and then begin a regimen of probiotic suppositories, containing as many of the above mentioned flora as I can find. Additionally, I continue to take my daily oral probiotics as well, hoping that some of these will take up residence in my own microbiome and help keep my Ph balanced naturally and keep off the antibiotics for good. Since this self-imposed project is still ongoing, I will do my best to post a follow up account of what happened as I go along. It is my hope that my story can help others ask questions and do their own diligence as many, many other women who have written/spoken about their experiences have helped me.

This is going to be long. I’m 30 years old with 2 kids and have been battling recurring YIs for about 4 years now. To say that having this issue COMPLETELY changed my life is an understatement. I’ve spent so much money on Monistat, doctors visits, creams, natural remedies and NOTHNG WORKED long term. I changed my diet my sex life was nonexistent. I couldn’t wear anything tight because of how uncomfortable I always was. I was always swollen always itchy always on edge walking around with this. I couldn’t sit down comfortably I couldn’t be sexy or intimate with my man because I felt disgusting. Aside from the external shame and symptoms I was always in pain I lost my appetite I felt nauseated and extremely fatigued. I was always tired and moody because of this crazy imbalance in my body. Recently I started looking into pills I first tried queen v did nothing then I went to azo probiotic which helped but not for long I then tried candida cleanse which also initially helped but didn’t work long term..... I saw these some time ago in target but never thought it would be any different than the pills but boy was I was. I was deep into a YI when I inserted the first suppository and the first 24 hours was a little better less itching and less inflammation but still present. Second day the discharge started and it was CONSTANT! I felt better but could hardly give off a sigh of relief because I was so shocked and uncomfortable at what was happening. It happened all day and when I would go to the restroom so much more would come out. Initially I thought it was the pill but I realized it was the pill clearing up the YI and fast. My body was cleaning itself. Third day was the same and by the fourth day my swelling and itching was completely gone. I continued the pills into the 5th and 6th day and decided to stop to see what would happen. I couldn’t believe it I felt so settled for the first time in years. As happy as I was I was terrified of what sex would do since every single time before I would deal with a YI. I had sexy time with my man once and was fine all day I wanted to cry and then we had sexy time again 24 hours later and I did notice some swelling after that so I inserted another suppository and by the next day today completely normal again! I think I’ll keep up with one weekly to make sure she stays in check. I’ve also been able to expand my diet some more. While I stay away from processed foods and sodas I was still extremely limited in dairy and red meat. Lately I’ve found I can eat it and have no issues! I just can’t believe how normal I feel. I’m not ashamed with my man anymore I can feel sexy again and not be terrified of the consequences of getting giggy. I can eat a few chips and not have to apply cream terrified I might get the itch by the end of the day. This is life changing. Whatever this suppository did that other pills and creams couldn’t do is worth EVERY PENNY. Women! Please do not second guess the decision to purchase this if you have reoccurring YIs. Order it now! Right now. You will not regret it! Stop suffering in silence and buy thiS. Update GAME CHANGER My life is so much more enjoyable now without having to deals with YIs. I still at times get the feeling like one may be coming in so I’ll use one and by the following day it’s gone. I am just so unbelievably happy that I tried these. I just purchased the second bottle so that I can continue to up keep with them. I no longer suffer from chronic YIs I always feel clean and fresh. I’m just so thankful for this product. Truly.

Ok this is a TMI review but you guys need to read this if you're considering purchasing this product: I have had issues for almost 10 years with frequent (when I say frequent, I mean non stop) infections. Whether it's BV or yeast, it's literally out of control. I couldn't take baths, be intimate, get soap near that area, wear tight clothes, make a right turn (kidding) without getting an infection. I had seen countless OB's for this and their suggestions were antibiotics, probiotics, change my laundry detergent, stop wearing tight clothes (okay, not possible for a legging person), and other things that literally never worked. I would do the antibiotics and literally days later I'd be back at square one. It was AWFUL. I had seen reviews from people on youtube of another product like this and I really just assumed it was a selling point to get money so I never looked into it. Let me just say I became desperate for something to work so much that I didn't even care at that point. So, I did my research and came across this product and another product. I'll be honest I don't remember why I went with this one but I am SO GLAD I DID. I'm not being sarcastic here - the moment I used the first suppository, it was like a chemical reaction miracle happened. Odor was gone, itching was gone - when I say a miracle took place in my you know what, it literally happened!!!!! I use one suppository ever other evening and I have gone for a week without one and I haven't had any issues ever since. However I did have a vaginal ultrasound to check my ovaries last week and they do use lube and I was wondering if the lube was going to cause a problem for me so as a little experiment, I didn't use the suppository that night and sure enough the next morning I had an infection. I then used one and bam, it was gone. I checked with my OB about this product and she ended up saying she completely forgot about how effective Boric Acid is as a treatment option and wishes she would have suggested it years ago to me and she's going to start telling her pt's to use this going forward. This truly is a "miracle drug"! I have been plagued with recurrent PH imbalance and constantly battling smelly discharge on and off for the last few years. I have the yellow PH testing tape and would constantly be checking my level obsessively as I had become so aware of any little change. I had starting using RePHresh gel to prevent the PH imbalance from turning into a full blown bacterial infection but that was just a temporary fix as it only lasts 3 days at a time. Like so many of the other women who have commented,I totally related to how this "condition" was impacting their lives. It was affecting my relationship with my husband and my self-esteem. I had been to by OB/GYN to discuss my problem a few times a year with no real advice or solution other than to refer me to a specialist. It was almost as if I had to convince her that something was wrong with me! I started looking online for possible causes to my problem (as I knew it wasn't all in my head) with no real answers. I'm 47 and have been "normal" my whole life except for the past few years. I hadn't changed anything in my lifestyle so I was thinking it must be related to just getting older. I still don't know why or what causes my PH to go off balance as it seems there isn't a lot of research on this subject. Once I started reading about the Boric Acid pills I was very skeptical - boric acid sounds so drastic. Like my husband said - the stuff that kills ant and is poisonous! I spent hours reading comments from other women and their stories and how they had success with taking this treatment. Reading their comments made me feel that I wasn't abnormal - knowing that so many other women were having similar issues was a relief in a way. It made me feel that it wasn't all in my head and what I was experiencing wasn't so abnormal after all. I decided to go ahead and purchase it. Since I purchased the capsules, I truly have had a complete turn around. I've been "normal" now for weeks. It seems that my period or intercourse would trigger that unfresh feeling and smelly discharge and cause my PH to go off balance. I still don't know why my body has changed but at least now I have some relief and piece of mind. I have only used the boric acid inserts three times over the past 6 weeks or so. And I've been fine for the past 3 weeks even after intercourse. Inserting the pill is easy and can be done with your finger. I don't notice too much of a mess as it dissolves (the minimal discharge from inserting the pill is much less messy that the gel that I was using) and it's affect last much longer. My self-esteem and sex life have greatly improved since learning about this treatment. I hope anyone else having these issues have the same success that I have had. I can't recommend it enough. Don't wait. I waited a month or so after reading the reviews and comments before I decided to give it a try. It truly is the best money I've spent! I don't know why my doctor or any doctor for that matter doesn't recommend this treatment. It has been the only thing that has worked and is so easy and cost effective. It makes me angry that I had been suffering for years with this problem that was so easily fixed with Boric Acid! I want to yell it from the rooftop how wonderful this product is. It truly has changed my life!

I’ve been happy with these boric acid suppositories. They’re easy to use and convenient to have on hand when I feel like I need them. I like that each suppository is individually packaged, which makes them easy to store and use. Overall, they’ve worked well for me and I would purchase them again.

I had never had issues before the last six months when it came to my smell. I got BV from a partner and it just kept coming back, I treated it with antibiotics (I tried pills and even suppositories) which usually followed with a yeast infection. This kept happening over the span of two months, and it really killed my confidence. Then I did some research and found these wonderful pill-like suppositories and they changed everything for me. I use one after sex or a menstrual cycle before bed and I wake up smelling sweet and balanced again. I bought this a bit ago, always have had a sensitive …(V) anything can set off my PH balance to soaps laundry detergent my monthly etc long story short I decided to use this yesterday night I woke up and all my symptoms were gone. I did a bit of research and it says to take this once a day at bedtime and to insert it far up there so you don’t experience irritation from the borax take for 14 days, this being the first day of using them and I already feel back to normal. It works and it works fast, I haven’t experienced any burning or irritation from it so far but it will make things a little messy so wear a liner or pad. 100/100 will be using this only if anything throws it off again.

After using it for about a week it has helped with my BV/yeast infection. I’ve had recurring yeast infections for years now and when I took a course of antibiotics for something else, that caused my pH to be imbalanced and so I thought it was just the typical yeast infection. My symptoms were white thick cottage like discharge but with no scent, itchiness, or inflammation. I took flucanazole but the symptoms persisted. I thought my system just needed time to clear it but it got worse after two periods (which also causes pH imbalance). Due to the pandemic I did not want to go to the store and so I searched Amazon and came across these suppositories with amazing reviews. One thing I do not like is that it does not come with an applicator so it’s a little awkward trying to put it in. I tried it and it cleared out so much of the gunk hiding in my hooha, I was shocked. However, my period came so I had to continue the treatment towards the end of it. I do think that it works but I will have to see whether or not the BV/yeast stays away for good.

Ok people, I cannot say enough about this product, I’ve battled yeast and BV for about 2 years now, I’ve had infections so bad that I’ve actually ended up in the ER for them. I have tried everything in the book, over the counter treatments, probiotics, oral prescription medications, yogurt, and every remedy on the internet. I had an infection for basically a year straight, it was beginning to effect my mental state. My family doctor literally said “ I’m stumped I don’t know what to do”. These infections have effected my sex life, and even my ability to pee, I decided to try these thinking what the heck I have nothing to loose at this point. At the first sign of an infection I inserted one, no joke I woke up the next morning and it was gone, no itch, no burning, nothing... it was gone. Miracle! I’ve Ben battling yeast and bv for a year and half now. A cycle of antibiotics. Monistat, diflucan ,gels you name it. I was so desperate I couldn’t wait to try this. First night I used it inserted it. And opened another pill and put some on the outside of my labia. I had itch in the outer area as well nothing can get rid of. Next day I woke up and what a relief. By the end of the day I had like a clot of something thick and green,That my body disposed of. I still felt slightly off I decided to do another round and within a few hours I felt brand new.
