Easy to apply
This stuff works great. We had a small stone patio put on the back of our home. I needed two of these as I did a couple coats. I'm a small person, but was able to apply this all by myself. A wide paint brush was all I used. It enhanced the color of the stone; and when it rains the water just pools on the stone....no seeping in!

Easy and Looks Great
Bought to seal a flagstone patio. I used a bug sprayer to apply the enhancer sealer and had every intention of using a telescoping paint roller to remove the excess, the removal was not necessary for my application. I needed two coats to completely seal the patio. The patio dried quickly, the enhancer provided a light wet look without being shiny or glossy. There was no discernible odor, but I was outdoors. After the second coat, the patio is water proof. This product is highly effective, easy to apply, and looks great. Instructions were easy to follow.

A waste of money!
Applying the product to our stamped, color conrete walkway, we're disappointed to discover that the sealer only offered marginal improvement. We spent fair a bit of time in preparation: - Step 1: Hand on knee, chiseled off weeds, dirt between gaps - Step 2: Hand on knee, brick by brick, brushed the dirt off the path way with a 12" brush - Step 3: Washed the path way with a garden hose - Step 4: Scrub the path way with soap using 7" brush - Step 5: Washed the path way again with a garden hose. My wife commented that the path way is cleaner than our kitchen floor. True. LOL. I took some pictures to track our progress to present to viewers, hoping they might be helpful in answering your questions - just as I was prior to the purchase. Pic 1: I put the first coat on up to the container. Hence the bottom is the unapplied section of our pathway. Pic 2: the close up look of Pic 1 Pic 3: I took this picture 3 hours later after the first coat. The improvement over our original path way looks rather marginal. I added the 2nd coat and but didn't have time to finish it before I had to leave. Pic 4: I took this pic the next day before completing the 2nd coat. Can you tell which section that requires the 2nd coat? Perhaps not. FYI: it's the last section is near the drive way. Pic 5: After 2nd coat, I added the 3rd coat to the section near the top to use up the sealer. You can see the lighter patch where I ran out sealer. This pic was taken right after the completion hence the wet look and deep color. Pic 6: I took this pic 6 hours later but the path way was still not dried. In the areas that were dried (see the top of the pic), the color became duller, and the path way looked more like when we started. Conclusion: Not sure if we expected too much but we felt this product only merits 2 stars. The fact that it provided little else (e.g. UV. protection, etc..) added to our disappointment. I suspected our path way would look better with 4 coats and would have tried that but we already ran out of the sealer. UPDATE: Pleased to report that, after two days, the path way looks better where 3 coats were applied (Pic 7, 8). Hence, we now gave it to 3 stars. Why not more? To really achieve the result we wanted, it'd likely take 4 coats and that's getting too expensive. UPDATE: September 1. All the shine and enhancer are now gone. My walkway is looking almost the same as before the product was put on. What a waste of money and time. I do not recommend this for outdoor use. Should have taken heed of the advices given by other reviewers.

Perfect for enhancing color or stone tiles
Ease of use: Prior to this, Iโve never used this product before or anything like it. This was very easy to apply to my new stone wall tiles. I used a low pressure paint sprayer and it went on great. The tiles look amazing on this DIY project. Everyone who has seen it so far makes sure to comment how it looks like a professional did it. Value for the money: My tiles went from looking light and dusty to naturally dark and beautiful. I still have plenty left over to use on other projects. Definitely worth the money! Style: I only applied one coat to my wall which made them look dark and kinda wet which is what I was hoping for. For reference, you can check the picture attached to see the difference between my tiles without the enhancer and the tiles with it. Overall, this stuff is great, however, it does have a strong smell after you apply it which doesnโt last too long. Iโll say it lingered for at least 24 hours in my house before it went away completely. I highly recommend this product for your next stone project!

works well on natural slate
I purchased this product when I noticed that after using my conditioner after cleaning, the floor (natural slate) seemed to dull out within a day. In the past, after cleaning/conditioning it would stay bright for weeks. Realizing that I had not sealed my slate floors since I installed them almost 20 years ago, I guess they were due. However, the conditioner does put a form of sealer on the stone - but just not a 'permanent sealer' - as this product is. If you are also using a conditioner and then use this product for a more permanent sealer, please note that unlike the conditioner, which you can walk on as soon as it dries (20 minutes or so), this is a true sealer and took over 24 hours before it was totally dry. It may leave footprints and feel tacky if you walk on it sooner. Considering the cost and not seeing much difference after it was done (see before and after photos) I was happy for that - because I do remember when I originally sealed the floor we could not walk on it for quite some time, and it looked beautiful for years. The 'before' photo was taken after a very thorough cleaning (hand scrubbing the grout, etc), hence, the difference is minimal. Look at the front tiles in the 'after' photo and you should be able to see where I stopped applying the sealer for the day. It is hard to determine from the photos, but it does have a nice slightly 'wet look glow' to it - compared to the unsealed stone. It has been several weeks since I have done this part of the floor and I can say it is retaining its glow very well. I held off from continuing with the rest of the floor only because of some of the reviews that stated that the sealer actually put a haze on the stone (!!) after a week. So I held off to be sure that would not be the case. It has been several weeks and that did not occur. These types of sealers appear to be very sensitive as to what it is applied to the floor (i.e., sealers or other products) before applying this product. I believe that may be why some reviewers may have experienced the haze. I was happy that the product did not react with the conditioner that I use about 4-5 times a year. I used foam brushes to apply the product and that worked very well. The only issue that I had not anticipated is that you must lightly wipe off the residue about 10 minutes after application (I used new microfiber cloths). Since you only have so much working room, I found it difficult when applying since I knew I would need to be able to reach the area 10 minutes later for wiping. That, and you must not let the sealer dry before wiping off the excess made the work flow limiting and took several hours to do this small room (about 6x6). The good news is that although I bought the gallon container based on the coverage, I thought the product went a long way so I'm not worried about running out. Overall, I'm happy that my floors look like new again and I suspect keeping it clean will be easier for quite a few years.

Exactly what I was looking for.
Exactly what I was hoping for! Whenever I would hose my stone wall it would give a more golden tone to all of the stone. I wanted that look permanently. When I asked my backyard designer what I could use, he recommended this product. I just put it into a 1 gallon pump sprayer from Home Depot and applied it directly to the wall. This gave me exactly the look I was looking for when the wall would usually be wet. I love the result! There are more full, golden tones now. Highly recommend this product. In the retaining wall image, the left side is sprayed and the right side isn't.

It works
Used on TN sandstone sawn flooring. I put on 2 coats and the colors were coming out , but I think it would take 3 or 4 to get the enhancement I was looking for. It does darken the stone, but not sure how long it will last

Perfect product for outdoor Spanish tiles
This is the perfect product to restore color and as a primer sealer on my outdoor Spanish terracotta floor tiles. I used 2 coats. Easy to apply using a spray bottle pump and spread with a cloth covered swiffer mop head. Doesnโt turn white or cloudy like other brands.

Works as advertised
Absorbs quickly and there was very little pooling of sealer. Enhanced the colour nicely with no residue or shine once dry. Covered 300 square feet easily with a little left over.

Didnโt enhance as much as I thought it would however it did seal good
It made a small bit of difference but hardly anything, complained and was told it worked as it was supposed to and the stones I have are a light colour, it is a good sealant though for sure, would probable work well on darker stone.

New floor look
Looking to Re-New an older slate tile floor from everyday foot traffic. Black Diamond Stonework's Color Enhancer truly does make natural stone colors "Pop" giving that new floor look again. Easy to use product application & plan on using their floor wash product as maintenance . Will see how floors hold up for durability, but very happy with how they look Re-Newed with beautiful color again.
