Updated 12/2025-I have used the braces for 5 months and they are still going strong, so I changed my rating from 3 to a 5. I have learned that if you hold on to the bungee just below the hook when you tension it, the hook/bungee attachment works well and doesn't fail. I like the hook arrangement better than the Velcro shoelace strap of my previous foot lifter, so I gave it 3 stars. However the attachment of the elastic cord to the hook is insufficient. Both ends of one foot had the elastic outer cover pull out of the plastic hook within 3 days. The interior non-elastic cord is still attached, so the lifters still work, but I wonder how long it will be till it breaks. Also, It is difficult to remove the Velcro ankle straps, as there is no unattached tab to grab onto. So great concept, but could use improvement in design/materials.
