Great Replacement for Elite Controller Grips!
I was pretty skeptical about this product at first. I was mostly concerned that it wouldn't match the non-replaced portion of the grips, but that was not the case. I cannot make any distinction between these replacement grips and the original grips. The color and texture appears to be spot on and they sit flush with the remainder of the controller. It was a little difficult to remove the old grips, but it wasn't too bad. Once the old ones were removed these were pretty easy to install in it's place. They do give you a small prying tool to assist with the removal of the old ones, but it still required a bit of effort. I think I was just being overly cautious to not break anything.Anyways, if you are in the market for replacement grips for the ELITE 1 Controller, look no further. These absolutely will not disappoint you. I've been using them for about 3.5 months now and they are still holding strong.

Easy to install, looks and feels great.
The rubber part of the grips on my Elite Controller grew like one of those plastic dinosaur things you soak in water. Eventually the outer ones fell off (well, got picked off). These replace the whole outer grip panel, from the trigger to the end of the grip. The panels are just clipped onto the controller, there are no screws or anything like that. It's a little nerve wracking getting the first one off, it does take a bit of force and working down them (I used a guitar pick), but once it's off, and you have a good sense of where the clips & tabs are, the other one is easier. These just snap on. They fit absolutely perfectly, and make the controller look & feel brand new. They've been on for a couple months now and aren't showing signs of growing like the originals, so I'm hopeful that these will be on for the rest of the controller's life.

Keeping my og Elite Controller going!
The good news is that this was a very easy repair. Even if the rubber isn't pealing from your Elite Controller (ver 1), you may benefit from having a textured surface again, as I forgot the feeling given that the rubber on mine was smoothed out from use.I just don't know how to replace the rubber on the inside as these are only designed for the hand grip part. Will cross that bridge when I get to it.

Easy installation makes the lack of instructions excusable, since this is the best (and only real) solution around.
The lack of instructions is acceptable only because this product is identical to the manufacturers piece and is easily the best (and for people who want an exact replacement, its the only) solution for pealing grips on an elite controller. While very easy to install, it can be puzzling at first. My Suggested Instructions:Removal: Peel off the old panel using your fingernail (or pry it off with a butter knife if your nails are too short). It will take a little bit of force, but don't worry about breaking anything- Its designed to be removable just like the rest of the controller sticks/paddles/parts. If using a knife though, stay away from the trigger as you don't want to accidentally damage the delicate electronics inside.Installation: The new panel should snap in very easily and without force. If it does not, you may have some of the earlier generation Elite Controllers. THIS IS OKAY. Compare your new panel with the old one you removed. There will be two small clips (may just look like a bump) on the new one that the old doesn't have. There will also be no spot for these clips to plug into in the controller. These two clips are in a slightly indented circle, next to the two larger circles that stick out and fit into your controller. Remove these two clips by pinching them with your fingers and twisting. Regardless of which style controller you have, the panel will now fit easily and without much effort, just snap it into place.

Fit like the originals!
As I'm sure I'm not the only one who's had this happen, the back grips on my Elite started to pull away. I tried taking them off and putting them back in place to no avail, so I went looking for replacements. These work perfectly and fit just as the originals do. Snap the old ones off, snap these on, and you're ready to go!

Not for series 2 - Operator error
I thought these were for an elite series 2 controller. After realizing I was wrong I assumed they went to a normal series controller. Wrong again and even broke one of the grips clips off trying to put it on. After realizing my stupidity I grabbed my old elite series 1 and it fit just fine even with 1 of the clips missing. I have to say looks great and don’t try to put these on your series 2. Fun fact: it won’t fit.
