Glass Jelly Jars with Lids and Bands, Set of 12 (4 Oz) - Regular Mouth (Other Sizes and Designs Available)

I brought these to make homemade shower scrubs as teacher gifts. The swirl design makes them a much nicer gift! Good construction tho the lid is kind of a pain.

While these are a pretty glass design, they DO NOT SEAL PROPERLY. The threading doesn’t match, and the lids will not screw down completely. I tried some “Ball” jar lids and seals, and it was a little better. Fine for storage of dry herbs or storage of non-perishable items. Not good for canning or perishable food storage.

I love the design of the jars and I bought two packages for my homemade flavored compound butters that I'm making for Christmas. They hold a whole stick of butter (4 oz./0.5 c.). I bought these for the sweet flavored butters. When I picked up the box from our doorstep, I heard something rattle and immediately knew I'd find broken glass inside. There was a thing bubble wrap layer around them, but I expected more since I had four boxes of canning jars. I expected to see "fragile" on the box too, but it was nowhere. Thankfully, it was only one jar that was broken. I would normally ask for replacement or reimbursement but seeing was only one I'm not concerned where as if it were half or all of the box. The glass is thick and good quality.

I absolutely love these jars and they are beautiful packaging for my product. I COULD NOT WAIT UNTIL THEY BECAME AVAILABLE AGAIN!. I have purchased them in the past with no problem. However, so far, 1 of the 4 boxes had jars whereby the lids didn't fit properly. They would not tighten down at all. About five of the 12 jars in the box had this problem, it seemed as though the specs were off for the jars or the lids. Since I had already placed my product in the jars, it would have been more trouble wash them out, repackage them, and send them back because I absolutely needed the jars that day. So as a temporary fix, I had to use some other spare lids that I had on hand. Very disappointed because they weren't as pretty. We'll see if the same problem exists with the remaining box of jars. I'm going to test each one before using them and would suggest you do as well.

I can jelly and jam regularly. I decided to give these a try and was disappointed for two reasons: 1. One of the 12 cracked when boiled. Good mason jars are built to withstand boiling and extreme temperatures. I haven't had this problem w Ball jars. 2. Four of the 12 didn't vacuum seal properly. Good mason jars always seal properly. I used these alongside Ball jars and all of Ball jars sealed just fine. Basically, 5 of the 12 jars were worthless. So if you're canning, don't take this risk! I'm sure they're fine for a small arts and crafts project but even then be careful - the lid doesn't always seal properly. For what it's worth, these jars are made in China. They don't feel as sturdy as other mason jars.

Great size but the lids don’t feel like they go on straight.

These are great for a variety of things and also work well to store various food items at the office. I like to use them for transporting small amounts of coconut oil when traveling. They also attack nicely and help keep me organized in the kitchen and in the office.

There jars are very pretty and look lovely on the table. I am making individual desserts in the jars which allows me to serve many choices on Christmas. I also made a holiday Christmas jelly for individual gifts at the table for a ladies dinner table which was earlier this week. They were a great hit and I expect to order more in the future.
