**Q: Can this product carry or sustain the heat of water coming out of the engine/water pump?**
A: Yes, I used theses caps to block off coolest flow from an intake manifold to water pump. No leaks and no issues with heat affecting the caps.

**Q: How do you use these?  Does it go on the incoming or outgoing heater core hose, or does it cap the heater core openings?**
A: Normally these are used on a metal pipe stub, which usually is on the core itself.  But one COULD put a barbed metal fitting into a hose and then cap that.  Whatever.

**Q: Do these caps have braided reinforcements like a heater hose?**
A: It does not appear to have braided reinforcements.  No braided material shows through the cap.

**Q: If this goes on an outlet fitting (water pump, manifold, etc...) do I need to secure with hose clamps?**
A: Yes. You will need 2 hose clamps.
