Banana Boat, Summer Color Self-Tanning Lotion, Deep Dark Color for All Skin Tones, 6 oz

I'm cursed with lots of spider veins on my pale legs and feel very self-conscious about them. Enter this FABULOUS self-tanner that gives me a natural sun-kissed look w/o UV damage, and makes my veins a lot less noticeable. When I first got it, I applied 2 x day for the first 3 days (put on first thing in the morning, let it absorb for about 10 minutes before getting dressed, and repeated in the afternoon), then I put it on daily for the next few days. Now I put it on every other day and it maintains the tan. No orange tones, no streaks. For some reason my feet stay somewhat pale, but it's not a big deal for me. Bonus points for a great price and faint floral scent. Definitely will be buying this again!

Using this for 27 years (!) - rub it in well, wash your hands... works great still & gives a beautiful golden tan!!

This lotion is great. I had no color at all and put the first coat on which I wanted the Dark. It did just that by next morning the color was there. I’m 65 years old, so my skin is not pretty like women in their 20s and 30s, but I was very pleased. I will use it for my cruise this week.

Works great, looks like a real tan. My neighbors went on vacation for 2 weeks and thought I had went to the beach when they returned. They thought my tan was real… My 16 year-old daughter just got back from church camp and thought I had laid out all week lol. Now I have to hide my lotion from her lol…. The lotion spreads evenly, I haven’t noticed any stripping. It gradually gets darker within a few hours, I put it on the night before and sleep in it. It doesn’t rub off or anything, and no need to wash off any guard like other self tanners… I love how you can just put it on and not have to worry about it… it started to fade after a third shower, so I’m great that it last a little bit. Avoid getting it in your hairline if you’re putting it on your face too, it’ll grab on and it doesn’t come off until several washes. I used alcohol wipes and it wouldn’t come off… wash your hands 3-4 times after use or you’ll have orange palms. I washed my hands for 3x’s and my palms are still kinda orange…

This is the first self-tanning lotion I’ve ever used completely — and even ordered a second bottle because I didn’t want to run out! The color goes on smooth and even, and feels incredibly light on the skin. It dries quickly, and once it sets, you can barely feel it. You’ll start seeing results after just one use. My routine is simple: I apply it once a day after my morning shower for the first three days. That gives me the perfect tan that lasts about a week. Then I just repeat the cycle! Once dry, it doesn’t transfer onto clothes or sheets, which is a huge plus. Normally, I can't stand the smell of self-tanners, but this one is different. It does have a scent, but it’s light enough that others don’t notice — and after my evening shower, the smell disappears completely until the next application. Overall, I give this product: 10/10 for color 10/10 for lightweight feel 10/10 for not transferring onto clothing or bedding 8/10 for scent 10/10 for affordability! Highly recommend! —Kathy J

Definitely will tan you darker! A little on the hands and feet goes a LONG way so be sparing. Love for summer since I don't get a very dark tan

Works good compared to others.

This product works as stated however it will leave you an un-natural orange color if you’re lighter skinned or lack melanin so use a small amount for your entire body. This deep is really suited for deeply melanated people hence the name. Others should try the lighter colors that summer boat has. I gave it 3 stars because it starts separating at the hands fairly quickly which makes me want to take all of the tan off because it’s embarrassing and noticeable. I inserted a picture and it is only day 2. I guess because I wash my hands frequently.
