Creamy feel and long lasting protection
This tinted sunscreen lipstick works really well and stays on for a long time even after drinking or eating. It’s also water resistant 80 minutes. I’ve had it for over a month now and was waiting to use it more before writing a review. When i first got it it didn’t spread as easily as it does now, also the color was not as vibrant as it is now. I’d recommend to use it several times before deciding if keeping or not bc in my case it applies better now than when I first got it brand new. It leaves a creamy feeling on the lips and it’s lightweight too. The color is light which I like and looks natural, I’m not a fan of flashy colors. There’s cheaper options in the market like sunbum tinted lipstick which I’ve had in the past, but i can say with certainty this one has better consistency and overall more quality. Also the fact that is a mineral sunscreen is a plus, bc most of the sunscreens out there use chemicals like Avobenzone, Octisalate, Octocrylene. Overall pretty good tinted sunscreen stick for the price. I will probably buy more in the future, but so far this one is working well and after several applications theres still a good amount remaining.

love it
it's exactly what I"ve been looking for, a lipstick that uses zinc for sunscreen and doesn't look too pasty. And, even better, there is no bad taste or smell. I find the firecracker color to be quite saturated in color, though I see that others who have reviewed it find it too transparent, but for me it is a nice color and fairly intense. I even bought the next shade down, summer crush, because I don't want this much color all the time. And Summer Crush is perfect for my everyday color, more subtle. It feels a bit gritty going on, but then sort of melts and feels fine after a few minutes. I can see that it may dry out the lips if worn constantly, but I use other products with beeswax and coconut oil on my lips at night to re moisturize.

Not at all like the original. VERY GRITTY TEXTURE.
I am a HUGE Coola fan! I love the original! I still use it and keep one in my purse, on my bedside table and I take it everywhere. I was so excited that it's tinted! But damn, was I so disappointed! I ordered the Skinny Dip. The texture is horrible. It's gritty and the smell is not pleasant at all. I also didn't like the color but I guess it depends on your natural lip color. Mine are a pale pink and this color made them look beigy/white. Not a good look! But so disappointed in the texture! The original goes on so smooth but this...this is gross.

Sheer, Comfortable, Flat Color
It's okay for the price. No idea why I was expecting something like Fresh's hydrating tinted Balm in Coco or Honey, lol. It's a very flat color, not matte, but almost looks it. Doesn't feel like matte balm though. Kind of doesn't hardly feel like balm in general, but zinc does that to products. Probably why the color is flat too. Would probably settle into dry lips in an unflattering way, the way matte colors do- mainly just because the color is flat. Very faint scent that isn't like parfum-ey or faux berry or vanilla or anything else obnoxious, which I greatly appreciate. I don't like feeling like a tween putting balm on. I really wanted the color science one,but it was very expensive. Also considered the almay. Don't like tubed messy products.. much prefer tubes, but not super generic ones. After Fresh Balm... I kind of can't go back lol Outer tube/cap is metal. Inner is plastic. Tube is not at all heavy.

Keep Looking. This isn’t what you want.
I bought this because I’ve been looking for a cruelty-free dupe for the Fresh Sugar Lip Balms. This is definitely not it. The packaging feels high quality and the in-tube color is nice, but it’s got an extremely artificial, slightly smell, dry texture, and it leaves my lips drier than ever. The sun protection is ostensibly good, but my lips were in such rough condition after even a single use that I really couldn’t say more than that. It wasn’t worth the price and I definitely won’t repurchase.

Love the color
I bought the firecracker color and love it. Since I’m outdoors a lot I need SPF for every part of my body and this lip balm is perfect.

Totally inconsistent with product texture
I’ve now bought two different colors, which ended up being completely different textures and scents as well. I hate one and love the other. I see why there are so many competing reviews. My Nude Beach is super gritty and dry and sinks into and sticks onto every line and rough part of my lip. I hate it but wore it regardless for sun protection (noone is getting close enough to see during the pandemic anyways!). The scent was mild, basically just smelled like raw coco butter. The color was more orange than I expected so I decided to try a different color. So I bought Summer Crush and I LOVE it. The texture is smooth and moisturizing, the scent is kind of like menthol or eucalyptus, and the color is perfect for me. Do not trust the advertised photos of the colors, tho it’s not as if Coola really makes much of an effort to represent them, they are still totally inaccurate and confusing. Speculation - Maybe the different colors have different textures? Or maybe each batch is just totally inconsistent, I don’t know. I’m embarrassed for the company for doing such a terrible job with the inconsistency of their products and their serious lack of accurately representing the colors.

I have super dry, pale lips and wanted a moisturizing tint ...
I have super dry, pale lips and wanted a moisturizing tint with spf in it. Summer crush is a great medium pink that works well with my light olive skin but I think it'd work well with a wide range of skin tones. It has a really natural finish so you can build up the color if you want without it looking like you put on a bunch of makeup. This is genuinely a 'my lips but better' product. Even with the more satin finish it manages to be really moisturizing, which I can't say about most lip products I've tried (and I've tried a lot). This makes my pale, wrinkled, shriveled up lips look healthy and naturally pink. It's magic. It's pretty pricey but I really love this product. I've gone through two tubes already and will keep purchasing it.
