It's a Klone, and it's loud!
This pedal is everything it's advertised to be, including the thing they don't say. This is a great sounding Klone. I've never played an original so I can't attest to how "accurate" the Tumnus is, but I really don't care. I run it Josh Scott-style as a heavier drive stacked behind a lighter drive. It delivers all the tone characteristics that stand out to me in his videos using a KTR after a Morning Glory in this way, which is plenty close fas far as I'm concerned. There's a sweetness in the mids that stands out compared to other circuits and I really like it. I assume that's what everyone's paying $5k for with the 'real' ones. I'm surprised how much volume this pedal can produce. Running it with the gain around 75-80% I have to keep the volume in the 10-15% neighborhood. When you bring the gain down you progressively have to bump it up to more 'normal' settings, so maybe the intent was to give sufficient volume for those that want to run it as a clean boost? This isn't an issue at all (who cares where the knob is if it's doing what you want?), but definitely a notable characteristic of the pedal. I was torn between this one and the Rockett offering (who built some of the silver centaurs for Klon). I ultimately went for this one because of the form factor and I'm glad I did. It's tiny. It is really well constructed as well. I'm sure the Rockett is great, but if you want to save some space the Tumnus does the thing. The LED is blue. Since the pedal is gold I kinda expected amber or something, but that's the worst thing I can say about it. Oh, I don't think this has the magic diodes though, or the goop, so it's clearly terrible despite all the praise I just gave it.

The Tumnus Wampler is GREAT!
I have the Tumnus in between my Morning Glory and my Vertex SSS overdrives. I essentially use it as a second boost and my Morning glory as my first boost. After several hours of configuration and tone tweaking I found, The Tumnus has the ability to push your amp to break up and not color up the tone, it can get bright or dark, it’s super tweakable to get a good spectrum of tone your looking for. The footprint is so small like a half a king size snickers bar small. This is exactly what my pedal board needed because my pedal board has some big pedals including a volume pedal and Game changer plus sustaining pedal. So, I need all the room I can get while also getting the OD tones I need. Finally for the price, the versatility, the quality you get a major bang for your buck.

Cool
Not my thing but great pedal

Expensive, but very pleasing sound with nice gain
It doesn’t quite sound like my Mesa Boogie but very closely emulates tube overdrive. Also, it seems quite expensive but no regrets. I play it through my clean channel on the Boogie and it sounds awesome.

Like early Clapton or Allman brothers tones? BUY THIS!
If you’ve ever wanted those thick soaring lead tones, this guy will deliver. I plugged it in, did a whole step bend at the 15th fret, and instantly was sold. It’s got that buttery, full sound, but it’s not too warm at all, and it has a treble knob if you ever lose too much high end. This pedal is the great equalizer. It makes bad guitars sound good, great guitars sound better, and frankly it even made my cheap old practice amps sound ok. On low settings, it acts like a great boost pedal. Beefs up the tone without getting muddy or too driven. I don’t really ever turn it off, I just crank it for leads and dial back for other stuff. I included photos of my preferred lead and chord settings. If you’re looking for metal crunch, or Marshall stack in a box, look elsewhere. But if you want a rich, sustaining lead tone for blues, jazz or rock, this is your pedal.

Very nice klon clone
Comparable to other Klon clones, but to me, thicker and richer sound than the mxr sugar drive I tried and returned. Pairs fantastic with Nobels ODR mini2 into my clean, solid state amp.

Great overdrive in a small footprint
Back in the day I had a Marshall JCM800 with channel switching. There were two basic tonal options on that model - clean or one preset gain channel available via footswitch. As I've matured, I have really come to appreciate having a broader range of gain. The Tumnus from Wampler really fits the bill in a small footprint. It covers all of ranges in between clean and heavy distortion with a fullness that needs to be heard to be believed (especially in a stereo rig). I currently have 4 gain stages - pristine clean, a soft overdrive for blues and low gain tones (the "Timmy" also in a mini-pedal), the Tumnus for moderate overdrive, and tube amp gain set at 7 on a Friedman amp. It's no wonder my family has to pry me away from my guitar to go out for dinner.

Tumnus V2 is one of the best Klon OD
I been playing the guitar for +20 years and I must say that this OD pedal is really good. Right now I'm using it as booster but it sounds great with every setting
