These are a solid mid-range Japanese instant noodle and come at a very good price for the UK.It is quite a feat of flavour engineering. They have managed to recreate a pork broth (Tonkotsu) vibe purely through the soup powder while keeping it entirely animal-free. The broth was a genuine surprise; it manages that semi-creamy richness of Tonkotsu alongside a nice background kick. It isn't aggressively spicy, and while it obviously isn't identical to the real thing, achieving that texture from just a powder is impressive.The noodles are decent too. They are firm, smooth and absorb the broth well.As with all instant ramen, there is a fair amount of processed ingredients and high salt, though this feels slightly cleaner being animal-free, it's still uses a fair share of palm oil. The soup packet contains 3g of salt and the noodles hold another 1g. I recommend using this as a base for extra protein and veg, and if you want to watch your sodium, cook the noodles in fresh water (drain them) and only use half the sachet.
