Really well constructed. Fits nicely to the universal cage. The knob for holding the cable in place can get slick sometimes (more user error than anything really lol) but it's something to keep in mind.

It connects perfectly to my BMPCC camera cage, and supports my Samsung T7 most securely, as well as managing the USB-C connector cable to the SSD. FYI, if you’re going to repurpose a Samsung T7 from a file storage unit to now using it with a BMPCC, and had enabled any security, with a password, be sure to transfer all those stored files first. The T7 then should be formatted when connecting it and before using it with the BMPCC.

It's small, compatible semi universally with a 1/4" screw, but works almost perfectly on the Smallrig cage for the Blackmagic 6k Pro. It slides in through a cold shoe mount, and at first I had it sliding in all the way, but maybe I wasn't putting it through 100% of the way, because I saw it was scratching part of the metal of the rig, due to the T7 Shield being just snug enough to get it close to scratching the rig. I used it for a week on a shoot, and it was perfect for that, never got in the way, and I never though about it. I'll continue to use it, and it's a really great product for holding a thicker SSD.

Perfect compact size, great sturdiness and easy installation with supplied tool, this was exactly what I needed to secure my new Samsung T7 SSD to my iPhone Beastclamp setup

Mine doesn’t actually fit in a cold shoe slot though it looks like it should. But screw mounting works fine, and most camera cages are full of 1/4”x20 holes, so it’s not that big a deal.

Useful for mounting the Samsung T5 drive to the Smallrig cases. The pins that keep the cable locker in place are however prone to coming out. One was missing on arrival so I ordered an exchange. It's essential to use the USB/HDMI cable protector for the rig body, which you can order separately from Smallrig - otherwise the cable can be lose. I would have preferred a more industrial solution was available, but there isn't any competition.

In een studio, eventueel op een statief zal deze klem een T7 shield vast nog wel mooi op zijn plek kunnen houden, maar mijn ervaring is dat wanneer je een evenement handheld wilt schieten in een drukke menigte de schijf om de haverklap uit de klem floept wat behoorlijk wat problemen op kan leveren. Zelfs nog na extra verstevigen met duct tape. Voor iemand als ik niet geschikt dus, maar voor mensen die interiews of iets dergelijks filmen vanaf een statief misschien wel.
