Glows just like real embers. Color looks natural when the fireplace is off, like a dusty gray ash. Easily cut into smaller pieces for placement around the edges of the burner. The package contains gobs of wool and I only used a small fraction for a great effect making it a great value for the money. Should work with any brand of gas fireplace but check your manual first! ## Features - ENHANCED GLOWING EMBER EFFECT – A proprietary blend of rock wool mineral fiber and vermiculite granules creates a richer, more textured ember bed than rock wool alone. The vermiculite adds depth, body, and a natural sparkle wherever the flame makes contact, producing a coal bed that closely resembles a real wood fire. - PREMIUM MATERIALS, MADE IN THE USA – Crafted from rock wool mineral fiber and commercially processed vermiculite sourced from verified, contaminant-free deposits. Both materials are carefully selected for consistent performance and clean composition β€” so you know exactly what is going into your fireplace, and what is not. - COMPATIBLE WITH NATURAL GAS AND PROPANE APPLIANCES – Works with vented gas fireplaces and gas log sets. May also be used with unvented (vent-free) appliances; always follow your appliance manufacturer's instructions for vent-free applications, as requirements vary by unit. Compatible with both NG and LP systems. - INSTALLER-APPROVED TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS – Pinch small clumps and place near gas ports on the burner pan. Place small amounts on logs where flames will touch for a natural ember glow effect. Do not pack material tightly over gas ports β€” the flame must breathe freely through the blend. One bag covers an 18 to 24 inch gas log set. - LONG-LASTING EMBER BED – Mineral fiber and vermiculite both resist extreme temperatures and maintain their appearance with repeated use. For a more natural base layer, pair with Midwest Hearth Lava Rock or Vermiculite. For a simpler ember effect, Midwest Hearth Rock Wool is also available separately. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00ZDZAZGQ | | Best Sellers Rank | #55,539 in Home & Kitchen ( See Top 100 in Home & Kitchen ) #4 in Gas Logs #10 in Fireplace & Stove Fuels | | Brand | Midwest Hearth | | Brand Name | Midwest Hearth | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 2,845 Reviews | | Flavor | Mica | | Item Form | Fiberous | | Item Highlight | Rock Wool & Vermiculite Blend, Richer Textured Ember Bed, Vented & Unvented, NG & Propane Compatible, Verified Sourcing | | Item Weight | 6 ounces | | Manufacturer | Midwest Hearth | | Manufacturer Part Number | B00ZDZAZGQ | | Material | Rock Wool | | Material Type | Rock Wool | | Model Number | MH Glowing Embers | | Number of Packs | 1 | | UPC | 638170653148 | | Unit Count | 6 Ounce | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Midwest Hearth - **Flavor:** Mica - **Item Form:** Fiberous - **Item Weight:** 6 ounces - **Material:** Rock Wool ## Images ![Glowing Embers for Gas Fireplace, Made in USA, 6 Oz - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81PCvL9NueL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ You get your monies worth *by M***L on September 13, 2026* Nice stuff, exactly what I expected ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great effects *by S***R on September 17, 2026* Great addition to revamp our gas log fireplace. Tear dime size pieces and then pull them a bit to open them up in the middle. Spread around gas ports (making sure not to block/clog them). Generates realistic embers in your gas fireplace. If you can, attach some the ember material to your logs where the flames touch them and you will get some realistic embers on your logs as well. Contains a good amount that should provide quality embers for many years. Embers should last about 5 years before needing to be replaced. ## Frequently Bought Together - Midwest Hearth Glowing Embers - 6 oz.
