This game is amazing.
Titanfall 2 is an awsome game! It is definitely an improvement over the first Titanfall. Here's why: Campaign: Titanfall 2 has an incredible campaign! Each level is fun, action-packed, and unique. If you play Titanfall 2's levels, make sure to play them on either one of the two hardest difficulties; easy and normal are too easy. The campaign has a great, interesting story to go with it. Titanfall 2's campaign is a major upgrade over Titanfall 1's campaign. Multiplayer: Titanfall 2's multiplayer is a breath of fresh air. It never gets dull and is always fun to play. It is fast-paced and keeps you entertained. Whether you are fighting on foot as a soldier or piloting a giant mech, you will always have a great time. There are now six Titan classes, each with its own set of unique weapons and abilities. There are also more pilot weapons when compared to the first game. Titanfall 2's multiplayer is easily better than that of Titanfall 1. Overall: Overall, Titanfall 2 is a great improvement over Titanfall 1. With a longer campaign, more customization, and a better multiplayer than the first game, Titanfall has the potential to beat big games like Call of Duty and Battlefield. Titanfall 2 is worth every penny needed to buy it. I would like to leave a note about the company that made Titanfall 2, Respawn Entertainment. This company did a great job with both Titanfall games. Not only are the people in Respawn Entertainment very talented, but they are also not greedy at all. There are no microtransactions, paid map packs, or any other priced items in Titanfall 2 other than the few Prime Titans, which are just differently-shaped versions of the regular Titans. The people in Respawn Entertainment deserve every penny that they are earning.

Stunning, Amazing, Beautiful, and Fun. I cannot believe how old this game is.
I just got this game for my boys and they cannot stop playing it. I bought the basic version because of its age. I did not think it would look good or play well, but I was sooooo wrong. I almost never leave reviews but this game is just stunning. It plays smooth, it still has plenty of other people playing on line too, and it is beautiful to play and watch. Why the company has not made a part III is just stupid. I just went back and bought the original Titan Fall because we want to know how things all started. If you have not bought this game and you like shooting and blowing things up and driving giant robots then get this game. It is one of the best games we have ever purchased. I cannot believe how old this game is, to me it looks like a newly released game. Game on my brothers, game on.

Most matches begin much like any FPS
Titanfall 2 is the only FPS you need to play this year. The Coke and Pepsi of the genre (COD and BF) have weakly attempted to imitate what Titanfall 1 brought to the table - most notably with double jumping and wall running - but Titanfall 2 has returned to show them how it's done. I haven't yet played the single player campaign but have heard only praise (excepting its short length). The multiplayer, however, offers a refined version of the experience that kept me coming back to the first game. Most matches begin much like any FPS, albeit with smooth acrobatic abilities playing a prominent role. Once players have earned Titans, however, the game truly shines. Battles become frenetic and fast-paced, but the controls are so smooth that within a day anyone with FPS experience will develop the skills necessary to keep up. Loadouts and Titans are well-balanced, offering greater variety than the first game. Someone used to the larger franchises may be taken aback by some of Titanfall's quirks, like the high number of NPC fighters in most modes and, obviously, the giant robots that dominate the battlefield. But get used to it (which is surprisingly easy with how fun it is) and you'll discover a game that rewards players who think. As a side note, I felt compelled to write this review given the relatively low expectations and hype surrounding this game. Titanfall 2 did itself no favors by being released right in the middle of several other AAA titles, including the aforementioned duopoly over the genre. I'm not generally a fan of modern multiplayer FPS games - they feel too much like frustrating jobs with little payoff. Titanfall is different. It's a fascinating, deep and, above all, fun game that I hope will get the credit it deserves.

Awesome game. Don't let the naysayers cloud your opinion.
Great game. If you're a fan of fast combat and giant mechs then pick this up. I really liked the first game but wanted more out of the universe that the developer Respawn kind of teased us with with its multiplayer campaign and other multiplayer modes. With Titanfall 2 they went all out and forged a full campaign for you to dip yourself into along with multiplayer of course. While the campaign isn't earth shaking in its story but makes up for it with how you want to approach areas from multiple directions and vantage points. But you will build a bond with your Titan companion along the way. Plus good ole fashioned boss fights. And if you're an older guy like me who was a kid during the eighties you'll get a kick out of some slight nods to certain actors/characters from a handful of 80s action films. Also if you're a fan of the game Singularity( an underrated gem that one) there are sections that will feel right at home with that game and it's time manipulation mechanic. I was pleasantly surprised Respawn embraced more sci-fi elements with this installment. Also to boot there are no milk your audience micro transactions. No slot machine gambling leveling multiplayer system in play here to get your kids and addictive personalities hooked on. Which is a breath of fresh air in the ever increasing encroachment of casino RNG in triple-A games. And all post launch content is free. I dig this game so much I picked it up for both my Xbox One S and my PS4. I don't mind supporting developers like this. So if you're a fan of robots shooting, punching, and swinging swords at one another Titanfall 2 is for you.

A Great Relationship Between Man and Machine
The first entry in this franchise was skipped due to a lack of single player campaign but they made up for that in this second visit into the Titan universe. Titanfall 2 was able to keep me riveted in my seat even if it was for a short amount of time. Story - You take control of a forgettable character who is given authorization to handle a Titan robot due to extreme circumstances. From then on, this games becomes more of a quest to survival rather than building a legacy which both due occur as the story progresses. Survival turns into purpose when this pair resumes a mission previously designated to an ally and it just keeps getting bigger. The most impressive aspect about the story is the relationship between the man and the titan as they traverse diverse areas with several gimmicks in each one. In one level, you're dealing with time rifts while another deals with aerial approaches. Needless to say, the levels always offer something fresh and the titan provides some unexpected humor along with some emotional attachment to its character. Graphics - They're as good as any other game of its time. Animations are smooth and the environments are vibrant with color. I wish there was more diversity in enemy AI because the only difference is on whether you're shooting humans or robots along with their throwable weapons. There's creatures in some levels but that's about it. Gameplay - The gameplay has two versions of play depending on who you are controlling. The human pilot deals with more close encounters and is the typical shoot em up while the Titan controls like a true monstrosity and deals with the bigger foes. As stated earlier, each level has its own gimmick and lends itself to be really unique from its previous levels which keeps the gameplay fresh. Titanfall also uses a wall running mechanic that is assisted with jets to hold some cool maneuvers as you run on walls and shoot at your enemies from every direction. The one glitch that came up when wall running was that my player would throw grenades at random times when wall-running. I changed controllers to check if it was a malfunction but it kept doing this. Overall, the game provided some great moments while also leaving room for a sequel. The relationship between man and machine is often characterized in the media but this one made it feel more like the Iron Giant rather than Terminator. I greatly enjoyed its single story campaign and can not wait for the next one.

5 STARS, but could totally be 10 STARS!!! :)
Absolutely 5 STARS hands down from a 33yr old avid gamer. This game is truly next gen, the graphics are amazing, better than any game I've played. An that's saying something from my 33yrs of gaming on multiple consoles. The campaign is epic without question, it pulls you in & digs deep into your emotions as far as the Titan & Pilot bond plays out. The online multiplayer is fantastic without parallel, nothing holds a candle to its fluid movement, parkor Assassins Creed style maneuverability. The maps are gigantic & gorgeous, adding unlimited gameplay tactics. The A.I. & Titans give you a for sure adrenaline rush, as every battle is for lack of a better word, friggin INTENSE! The Pilot & Titan Customization is top notch, an Respawn/EA who created it dishes out awesome trailers & FREE updates, patches every month while keeping the DLC super cheap to just a couple bucks for a ton of stuff. Already as of 2/3/2017 it has over 130 Awards from Amazon, Yahoo, IGN, E3, etc etc etc. This game completely delivers full circle, it's balanced & incredibly fun. If you don't have it & COD, HALO or BF1 are losing their flavor, I tell you this in all honesty & from years of experience, GET THIS GAME NOW, you will not be disappointed in the least. See you online Pilot! ;)

Campaign might be short but it's one heckuva rush!!
I'll start with 2 disclaimers. First, I've never played the first Titanfall. Second, I've yet to tap into the multi-player. This review is solely based on the short, but incredibly exhilarating, single-player campaign. In a nutshell, if you enjoyed the wonderfully fast-paced, ridiculously fluid adrenaline rush of the Doom reboot, you'll most certainly enjoy this roughly 6-hour thrill ride. Respawn throws everything at you but the kitchen sink. This game masterfully meshes frenetic combat and truly inspired platforming. On more than one occasion, I found myself thinking, "how did they manage to implement (insert your choice of game mechanic) so well there?" Without saying much to avoid spoilers, there is one level in particular that felt like what Quantum Break should've been. I will avoid further specifics because every FPS fan deserves to experience this gem without prior knowledge. Do yourself a favor and give this one a shot. EA made the unfortunate decision to sandwich this between Battlefield and COD. It's a shame because this masterpiece deserves much more love. I freely admit the campaign is short. However, it's wonderfully paced. Combine that with what I hear is an exciting MP experience, and it's a worthy edition to any game collection. I picked this up on sale for $35 through this site. The reduced price tag certainly makes the short campaign easier to accept. I'm sure similar deals will be available during Black Friday. Scoop it up. You won't be disappointed.

Advice From a former Gen 10 Level 50 Pilot
TL;DR: Titanfall 2 is a decent FPS that has a MUCH better campaign than the last game in the series. The campaign is short but good, and the story is engrossing. Multi-player is a mixed bag. There are some good and bad maps, but they generally lack the vertical nature of the ones from the original Titanfall which means you won't get as much use out of your jump kit and wall-running as you used to. The matches are slow compared to the original but on par with what I've experienced with CoD games. If you're new to the series and like FPS games, pick it up. You'll like driving a titan. If you're a returning veteran, see if you can buy it used. Like so many other games / movies / ect, it's not as good as the first (multi-player only). Full review: I played the first Titanfall for way more hours than I'd probably like to admit. I love that game. So much so I couldn't stop until I was a Generation 10 Level 50 pilot (for the non-Titanfall crowd, that's the highest rank you can get in the game). There were so many things to love about the original I was hopeful the sequel would carry the torch. In some ways it has, and in others it falls short. Gameplay: It plays pretty much the same as the first, which is to say there's a big focus on your jump kit and wall-running. That works great for the campaign, but I was surprised with how it integrated into the multi-player (more on this in a moment). Outside of that, they added a slide maneuver when you're playing as the pilot reminiscent of the one in CoD: Ghosts. It comes in handy and is a great addition. Titans: Okay. Some people will probably really like the changes they made with respect to the titans. I am not one of them, for the most part. In the first game there were 3 titan chassis to pick from, and you could modify your chosen chassis in a multitude of ways. In Titanfall 2, there are 6 different kinds of titans to choose from, but each has a set weapon loadout. I cannot, for example, choose the Ronin (a fast, light titan with a sword) and outfit it with a chain gun. It comes with the weapon it comes with and that's that. You can make it look pretty with a fancy paint job or nose art, but you can't change the basic weapon kit. You can also choose your perks but those don't work the same way they used to. They now have a "warm up" period before you can use things like the electric smoke which, in the first game, was available as soon as your titan hit the ground. I'm not a fan of this change as it slows the game down. Which is a theme you'll see in the multi-player section as well. Each titan also has an "ultimate" ability which we're seeing more and more in FPS games these days (CoD, Overwatch). A concept like this was present in the first one too, which was also driven by the choice of titan. The new "ultimates" aren't bad and can be pretty powerful if used correctly. Assuming you survive long enough to use them, anyway. Regardless, the titans feel really restricted now since I can't make it my own. They've really limited the creativity players can use when putting together a loadout that the opposition wouldn't expect. Campaign: The first Titanfall had a "campaign" if you can call it that. The lack of a real campaign was probably the biggest critique out there. EA and Respawn certainly heard that as they included a better campaign this time around. Don't get me wrong, it's not a long campaign. Not by a long shot. Unless you're cautiously creeping through each mission and never using the sprint button I'd be shocked if it took you longer than 6 hours to complete. That being said, it was a very engrossing plot. It lived up to the hype of exploring the bond between pilot and titan, and I found myself very immersed throughout the missions. Multi-player: This is where I love the game and hate the game as the same time. For a lot of reasons. Time for sub-sections. 1) The leveling up system in multi-player is different but not terrible. You level up as a pilot for the merits you earn (essentially XP) and you level up the weapons and titans you use based on your performance with them. Each time you level up your pilot or your weapons, you get access to a previously locked option. In some cases it a new pilot perk or a new sight for your weapon. In others it's the ability to paint your rifle like a tree. 2) Despite the fact that it seems to be a higher time-to-kill than last game, the matches feel SO SLOW. As I mentioned before, there is a major emphasis on your jump kit and wall-running in the campaign mode just as there was in the first one. Many of the maps in Titanfall 2 encourage this as well, but not nearly to the level of the first game. Last time we had industrial complexes, small cities, and maps with lots of vertical objects to run on/around. This time the maps feel a lot less vertical and some don't really have much use for wall-running at all. Which leads to slower gameplay. Titanfall was known for it's run-n-gun, break neck match pace. Titanfall 2 put the brakes on big time. Not only with the map design but also with the amount of time it takes to get your titan. So you end up with more of a stalking match than a hit-and-run match. This is especially true once you get your giant metal beast. They feel a lot more fragile than the last game so I've noticed a lot of players will be very conservative with them, not wanting to get into the mix because it takes FOREVER to get another one. 3) I miss the challenge system of old. I remember the days when I was stuck at Generation 5 level 50 because it took me FOREVER to shoot the requisite number of pilots out of the air after they ejected from their titans to complete the "Gooser" challenge. In the first game you not only had to earn enough XP to get all the way to level 50 before you could move on to the next generation (essentially starting back at level 1 and having to work your way back up again...CoD calls this "prestige"), you had to complete various challenges along the way. Some of these were freaking hard. And I loved it. But alas, that's not present this time around. Which is too bad. That was part of what made regenerating so much fun. If you read past the TL;DR, I hope you found the rest of this helpful. Overall it's not a bad game, but it's not what I (and a lot of other Titanfall fans) wanted it to be. If this is your first foray into the Titanfall series, you'll probably enjoy it. If you're a veteran, it'll make you miss the first one but you'll be able to tolerate most of the differences.
