Extremely satisfied!
Works great! I bought this glue to fix the windows on my boat, and it worked perfectly. Itโs strong, easy to apply, and dries clear, which made the job look clean and professional. Even after being exposed to water and sun, itโs holding up really well. Iโm very happy with the results and would definitely buy it again for future repairs. Highly recommend it for anyone needing a reliable, waterproof adhesive!

Great product for mariners.
Thicker than toothpaste, seals great. No sagging or dripping.

Lost a lot of money using the product. Never again.
This product sucks. I'm in marine repair biz. I usually use Dow Corning 795 adhesive silicone for boat windows, when polycarbonate or acrylic is to be mounted and sealed. Never had an issue, my always go to product. But then C19 came along and my local supplier was closed so I opted for Sikaflex 295 to remove and reseal large acrylic cabin port light in a Hunter 40. I'm pretty anal about prep, removing all previous adhesive/ silicone and back painting, etc. Using mechanical #10 SS Fasteners to reset the large ports, over drilled, counter bored inside and out...it leaked. Just a few drops at the top. Not good enough. I pulled all 36 fasteners and the entire 4+ foot acrylic panel literally fell off. Zero adhesion. On the port side there was a leak also however 50% kicked and adhered like devil glue. The port side actually broke trying to remove it. I contacted Maritime Plastics here in Annapolis since I was now on the hook to replace the ports ..on my tab. They were surprised that Sikaflex 295UV was still on the market and told me their biggest factory recall job was a batch of Binary Offshore hatches, 60+ were sent to them to rebed when Sikaflex 295 UV failed in new construction. They use GE adhesive silicone and never have issues. Bottom line, I ate that job by using this product and will NEVER use it again. Dow Corning was used on the second go round and NO ISSUES.

When youโre sealing a leaky sailboat hatch and it is a month from hurricane season you go for the correct item. This arrived quickly, applied easily and was set rapidly. I tested it by shooting hose water at it and it didnโt let any water in. Happy with the results

Be aware that there is an expiration date under the sticker
Happy with the quality of sika 295uv, seems to hold up well in the sun. Received the tips for both tubes i ordered, and no damage to the tubes. They hide the expiration date under their stickers, so many buyers will not know if theyโre getting expired productโฆ Both of mine were good, but one is expiring in less than a month. Yes, theyโre still fine for weeks to months after the best by date, but itโs still good to know there is an expiration and if theyโre way past it.

Just right size
for a small sealing job, this avoids the inevitable waste of opening a full cartridge

Great option for recreation boats
The front glass of my boat had recently gotten loose and threatened to come off completely. This adhesive is resistance to outside elements which is what convinced me to give it a try. The results are fantastic! If you own a boat and need to fix something on it, this Sika product is top notch.

Another great Sika product
I'm a big fan of Sika products in general, and having repaired a convertible rear glass with a very similar sika product in the past (which is not available at the moment), I decided to go with this one for a similar repair on a different car. Turned out great, this adheres very strongly once cured (go for the full 24hrs or even more if you can) and the seal is now completely leak-free. The added "uv resistance" is certainly a nice feature. Do bear in mind that this stuff is extremely messy to work with, and will stain anything it touches (including fingers) so proper preparation, protection and care when applying are most recommended. That said, once cured, it's fairly easy to scrape any over-application off the glass with a razor blade (DO NOT try to remove/cleanup any of it if it's not completely cured, you'll end up with a huge mess... Ask me how I know! ). There's very little smell/off-gassing/VOCs, so working in an enclosed area is not an issue. OH, as other reviewers mentioned, the little plastic applicator tip was missing, which is a bit of a bummer but not catastrophic by any means as any tip from standard silicone or caulking tube will do. This tube does fit any standard caulking gun, and I don't see how you could apply it without one.

Missing plastic thread on tips
The caulking was great, The plastic tips which are pictured weren't in the package. That was annoying and difficult to find elsewhere. Held up my project from getting done in a timely manner

Great product with a strange twist
We just purchased two of the Silkaflex-295. My husband loves this product. He said it's easy to work with and worth every penny. Just as I was going to write this review I noticed that many reviews mentioned that their delivery was missing the plastic applicator. Well we received one with and one without. I'm not sure why this is happening but they were very quick at sending a replacement. Hopefully this issue will soon be resolved for future orders.
