Doesn't work without creating an account - DON'T BUY!
And you can't create an account while connected to the device.This is really stupid.I don't want a Mark Zuckerberg social network privacy invasion experience.I just want to use the sonar.Even worse, you have to agree to FOUR stupid things, and that it will be governed by the laws in LITHUANIA!.Maybe it works, but the software and terms and conditions are horrible

Not worth the investment.
It is the biggest waste of money I have ever spent on fishing gear. It shows you on fish but nothing was biting, so we lowered a camera and found there was nothing there yet it still showed on the deeper sonar. I would have given it one star but it did accurately tell depth and temperature of the water.

Incredible Product!
Absolutely love my CHIRP! On my first trip out within minutes I was marking fish and catching them left and right. Really really love the new app design but the new CHIRP is something else! With the multi beam scan it's ability to map the bottom and structures is so amazing, connecting that with your GPS on your phone within the app just knocks it out of the park! I can scan areas when fishing to locate a structure point holding fish and ensure that I'm always casting into them for maximum success! I'd highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to up their fishing game, learn the underwater topography of your water bodies and more. It's super easy to use that my 5 year old even enjoys using it. AMAZING JOB DEEPER TEAM!

Doesn't work.
Very difficult to open to charge. Almost impossible to close to specifications printed. Fully charged after trying to open for 45 min with three people each trying. Wifi detected and selected but would not confirm working when started app. Tried Blue tooth without success. Reinstalled app, retried multiple times without success.Instruction book is ridiculous full of hard to understand icons and minimal text.This is a significant downgrade from their previous product which worked fine. Did contact Tech support about difficulty in opening and their response was to install anchoring bolts for leverage and just try harder.

Deeper = dependability, convince, ease of use, versatility.
I have a Deeper Pro And love it, I purchased a chirp even tho I didn't really need to. Having allready experienced the reliability and ease of use with my pro I knew it would be worth the price. Picked it up at Fed Ex and headed for water. I was excited because those guys at Deeper are way out there on the cutting edge. I've owned other sonars, couple of them were pretty fancy, and expensive. Came out of the box charged, I hooked it to it's pole, started the app as I cast and bam It was connected. (I only paid $150 for my phone, it's neither powerful or fancy) I was blown away at the detail with that 3rd freq. Instead of a weedbed, I was seeing each weed. The detail of Bottom logs and branches, and those lunker's hiding beside them was amazing. This thing is really going to be fun to map and explore with. Again Deeper hit it out of the park. I made my own mount and use a kiak a lot, that's when both Pro & Chirp show their stuff. I would definatly recommend Pro or Chirp to anyone that's serious about fishing or mapping. Used to be sonar had to have a boat attached to it and you could only go where your boat could go, not any more!!! I use mine in both lakes and rivers. I live in ND by the Red River and have used my pro a lot exploring steam boat wrecks from the 1800's looking for booty. I can't wait to fire up the Chirp for those outings, the bottom detail I've experienced with it, maybe now I'll be able to find & identify that treasure .....

Bad ass
This fish finder is bad ass.. it's easy to use and read without the bulkiness of say a vexlar. Just make sure your battery is charged and you're good to go and use anywhere with ease

Best fish finder for a kayak
This thing fits the bill as a perfect fish finder for my fishing kayak. Makes a nice bathymetric map of the body of water and shows you where the fish are. I would highly recommend this to anyone fishing off the shore or fishing in a kayak

Mappings and ice fishing
Did an awesome job mapping my lake. Had some really weird readings on the ice fishing setting. Every time I walked on the ice it would show on the screen. Idk if the compression of the ice could cause miss reading but I bought a vexilar instead and very happy.
