This kit works! I have a 2004 BMW 325ic and my door lock cylinder failed. I researched the automotive web and took note of these kits that would allow you to rebuild the lock cylinder parts that would fail and you could save money not having the dealer to repair this issue and spending big money to have new car keys cut and programed. It's a good thing I ordered 2 different kits from different suppliers, this one and another brand named Keenso. I spent a couple of days trying to get the keenso kit to work. The problem with that other kit is 1. The parts are not cut correctly. The flat slotted washer that is used to hold everything in place is a bit too thick. 2. The keyed tab pieces that are in that kit - one is for NA/USA,CAN made vehicles and the other piece is for European right hade drive. Only one would work depending on your vehicles build. The assembly is part the issue. When I reinstalled the cylinder back into the door the lock was 180 degrees out of the locking / unlocking position and I would remove it and make sure the actuator was in the correct position and try again. It would not line up no matter which position I would put it in. I re-assembled the cylinder 30 times and the results were the same. So I choose this kit. The price of this kit was $11.00 The other kit was $8.00. This kit worked and only took 10 mins to install and the lock cylinder operates like factory. Also this kit did come with a dowl pin which the other kit did not. I hope this helps you out. I would return the other kit but its not worth the time for the price. Thanks.

I picked up the BOURSIN Door Lock Cylinder Repair Kit for my 2002 BMW E46 330i because both front door locks were getting really finicky. The kit has all the parts (cylinder, pins, springs, and a basic tool). Installation wasn’t super easy — it took some patience and YouTube help — but everything fit properly and the locks now work smoothly again. It’s a solid budget alternative to buying whole new lock assemblies. The parts feel decent quality, though not quite OEM level. Pros: Much cheaper than dealer parts, complete kit, good fit on E46. Cons: Instructions are basic, install requires some skill. Overall, happy with the results. Would recommend if you’re comfortable with DIY.

Used on 2004 BMW 325i. The lock ring was broken, easy fix people complain about the spring and clasp installation but if U know what to do it's fairly easy. It's economical for the price, and the parts are thicker for better reinforcement. Overall I'm satisfied.

Not bad used this to fix my e46 lock that would just spin. Very easy to replace. I would use the housing of any pen to put the spring in place. Also dont forget to put grease.

Fit perfectly. I bought another kit off Amazon for my bmw, and the other one (similar price) was awful and did not fit at all, I had to grind down the pieces to size. This kit was amazing, it fit perfectly and came together easily.
