Is it normal for this to sound like a car horn? Is there someway to adjust how it sounds? It’s not ideal.

At low boil it sounds like a pleasant harmonica and as the boil gets more intense it sounds like someone is laying on a car horn - I suppose this is normal. I haven't found any way to adjust.

What are the dimensions of this kettle?

About maybe 10 inches diameter, and about as high. Not counting the handle or the top of the “stem” on the lid. Holds about 1 1/2 quarts

Does the handle heat up to where it is hard to pour?

i would not recommend getting this,AT ALL! The whistle failed on me, I forgot it was on the stove, it heated up so much the handle melted and fell off starting on fire. DONE GET IT!
