It is a much better quality than the one I had before. I had a few issues at first - the spout dribbled when pouring and the thing that whistles when the water is boiling fell off in under a month. The spout fixed itself, it no longer dribbles. I was able to reattach the whistler piece and so far so good. The whistle pitch is a bit higher but I actually prefer it. Is there someway to adjust how it sounds? It’s not ideal.** A: At low boil it sounds like a pleasant harmonica and as the boil gets more intense it sounds like someone is laying on a car horn - I suppose this is normal. I haven't found any way to adjust. **Q: Is the interior stainless steel or coated in enamel?** A: The interior is stainless steel. **Q: What are the dimensions of this kettle?** A: About maybe 10 inches diameter, and about as high. Not counting the handle or the top of the “stem” on the lid. Holds about 1 1/2 quarts **Q: Does the handle heat up to where it is hard to pour?** A: i would not recommend getting this,AT ALL! The whistle failed on me, I forgot it was on the stove, it heated up so much the handle melted and fell off starting on fire.
