Made of MEAT and proteins and NOT the garbage Grains all the major Cat Brands use...since they put Profit over every Cats health and Do NOT care one bit what they do to your fur baby. As like everyone else Cats be a bit picky, but they both tore this food up each meal. Soon as open and pour they are at it. So checks my boxes - healthy, tasty, and no signs of any digestive issues. Agree great quality and healthy. You may spend more on the food, but you will spend a lot more the vet with the normal commercial garbage.
Review: Great Quality and Loved by Cats; Our Go-To Food - The quality of the cat food that I purchase became of great importance to me after I lost my first cat to a disease that my vet said was triggered by, and worsened by, the cat food I was feeding him (Fancy Feast). So I begin doing research on what cats really need in their diet and the backgrounds and production of various cat foods on the market. Of everything I found, this brand “Orijen” always seemed to make the top five list of healthiest and most nutritious cat foods made with the highest quality ingredients as well as the best sourcing and production practices. Admittedly, there was another brand that was above ‘Orijen’ in these categories that I wanted to give my cats...but cats are picky, and they did not care for that brand too much...so I went to my second choice, which was ‘Orijen’. Ever since trying Orijen’s ‘Cat & Kitten’, we have never found another “go-to” food for the cats. They truly love this stuff. And as you can see in the video, I once got a bag home and (even though they had eaten that morning) they were more than happy to tear the bag open before I could even get to it. (usually I keep the cat food stored away in a cupboard). If you’re looking for a fragrant, dry food to attract your cats’ attention, this is definitely a go-to. Even with my human nose, as soon as I open the bag I can smell a powerful scent of cat food; it’s not an unpleasant smell, but it is certainly strong enough that a cat will know that the food is there. As my cats’ responsible human, I am happy with this food because it is responsibly sourced with cat’s health and humane practices in mind. More specifically, it is made of 85% animal ingredients including free-run chicken/turkey, wild-caught herring/flounder/sardines, and cage-free eggs; and 2/3 of their animal ingredients are “fresh or raw”. I am also encouraged by the fact that the first 16 ingredients listed on the bag are all whole animal sources; no fillers, supplements, fruits, veggies, or mysterious compounds. Additionally, taurine, which you must be wary of in cat food since it can be found in high quantities (particularly in low quality, high protein) cat food and cause health disorders in your pet, is found as a respectably small percentage of this food. I only wish that Orijen made wet cat food, since making sure cats get enough water is a very important thing. I did try to put some water on their dry food, but they didn’t like that. My answer to that was to buy a motion sensitive water dispenser, and buy them canned cat food on occasion from another respectable brand. With regard to price, yes it is rather expensive for a cat food. And getting used to it did take some time. However, after being told that I lost my first cat because of the low quality of the cat food I was feeding him (and I had no idea!), the peace of mind I get now from knowing that I am feeding my cats a properly nutritious food is priceless. Overall I am very happy with the brand and this flavor, and as you can see in the video and the picture of the damage done to the bag before I could open it and the cats are also very happy with it. Odd that the 5 star reviews from more recent years do not show up..  ?  anyway, do LOOK at these ingredients and try to find Anything better for cats:

My cat loooves this cat food.  Snarfs it so fast, i have to put this cat food into "cat food" puzzles to slow the cat down.
Some wet foods make cat poop stink though.
Some cat treats for hairballs make mycat have gas.  My cat's  poop smells like cat poop.   It is not bad on this cat food.  It is quickly covered up in the litter box by the cat with good quality "instant action" cat litter, no problem.  I clean the litter box at least once a day and put it all into a Dekor PLus diaper pail

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great food but yet another delivery delay

Orijen is an excellent cat dry food and healthy for cats! BUT, it seems every time I need a last minute order of cat food all I get are delays. Orijen arrived today but the order of Fancy Feast did not even though the cart checkout showed that portion of the order would also arrive today. Then at the 11th hour tonite, I find out that portion of the order is delayed by two days. I just had cataract surgery and don't want to drive to get cat food so I ordered Orijen for my cat and Fancy Feast for my sister's cat that we are taking care of. The Orijen arrived today but Fancy Feast did not. At a late hour this evening, I see the order is delayed not by one day but by two days. I needed the food today! I am so sick of this b.s. When the cart says the item will be delivered by a certain day and time why is there a last minute delay?? Why order in the first place? There is a better co. to order cat food from and iI'm going to use them from now on. Can't take this hit or miss delivery process.
