I purchased this ultrasonic car cat/rat repellent device hoping it would protect my car from rodents. Unfortunately, the device did not work for me at all. Even after installing it correctly and keeping it switched on, I continued to notice rats/cats entering the car/engine bay and causing problems. The device gave the impression that it was functioning, but there was no noticeable deterrent effect. In my experience, it was a waste of money and did not solve the problem as advertised. My observation and feedback may appear very exhaustive, but please have patience to go thru it fully. Having observed some rodent droppings inside my Ford Figo car engine compartment, along with teeth marks on my battery, added with some fish fry leftovers lying next to the battery, I had to act upon finding a permanent workable solution to curb the rat menace. I had initially wasted my time and money spraying 3M Rodent repellant 2 to 3 times every week. Although it was keeping the rodents at bay, I had to take care to ensure that spraying should be done only when the engine is cold, lest it may catch fire. I was inquisitive to know more about when my neighbour told me about this CARCAT was available with Amazon. Without loss of time i quickly logged into Amazon, located that and went thru the details. I was doubly convinced that the product being certified by ARAI must be a very reliable and dependable one, to thwart away the rodents when fixed in the car. I immediately placed order for the CARCAT unit on 4th November,2023 which was delivered to me after four days. The instruction manual gave me ample clarity on its usage with fixing procedure. I could do it myself as per that since I myself is a retired automobile professional and I had extra zeal and enthusiasm in doing it. Touch wood, till date there is no trace of a rat in the vicinity of my car and I can always hear the beeps at regular intervals from the installed unit. There is no question of the car battery discharging beyond a point as the unit consumes very less power to keep it functional 24x7. To prevent battery run-down due to this while car is parked unused, it's sufficient if you run your car atleast once or twice a week. It is almost 9 months now since my purchase date and i am quite happy and fully satisfied that it is serving my purpose intended. Imagine otherwise the cost incurred towards repair and replacement of parts namely, wiring harness and other damages due to rat bites besides causing mental pain and agony. The beeping doesn’t stop day and night ! Just wondering if it’s working or gone out of order. The manual says press the config button for 15 beeps and then release and hold for 8 beeps. But after that it’s again back to continuous beeping. I found this only now after a neighbor pointed out that this thing should stop beeping when the engines are running. No idea if this is repelling any rodents or just a nuisance for us , making noise day in and nights … can anybody please suggest how this can be rectified .. I might just throw it away soon

I have been using the product for more than 2 years now in my Jimny. It was one of the first product i had installed in my car. The product is effortless and does the job at ease. It has not only protected my car when parked in some of the most isolated places but also helped the vehicles nearby when parked around me.
