Best deer call, bar none that I have ever used. This year I give credit to the call for four deer harvested and a substantial number more brought closer for evaluation. Blind calling has frequently brought deer in to bow range to investigate. Outstanding results and very informative Dvd included to get you started. Will not go deer hunting without it. **Q: do the white tail deer calls work for black tail too or are the sounds different?** A: yes but blacktail are less aggressive. never use a deep grunt, blacktail are quieter and more subdued. better off making doe grunts to bring them in. last year a young buck came charging towards the blind within 15 feet off of doe grunts. thats about all I have for you. also if you are hunting california we are never hunting in the rut so none of the regular tactics work. **Q: does this call work in central newyork** A: Yes..! If you buy this call it comes with an instructional dvd that teaches you how to use it and what the calls actually are... Some of the testing and guys are from NY. I have used this and it works really well... I have to stop calling because deer will rush in on me. It's a good problem to have... I actually bought a second one for a backup... You have plenty of time to practice before this up and coming season so get and and get to practicing... **Q: Did any one get a random spring in the package?** A: No,..... I did not!
