I'm no leather expert but for me, this is a great leather sheet. It comes wrapped in a leather strip which is very useful, in a cotton drawstring bag. Nicely packaged that can be used again. If used this to make key rings, wallets, coin purses and a lighter pouch. To finish, I use a neutral mink oil balm. Burnishing to a shiney finish is also achievable. Highly recommended leather at a reasonable price.

Very nice leather, nice colour nice feel perfect thickness, abit expensive for the size but make a great wallet and nice to work with.

For the price this was a good deal. I wanted to try my hand at making a slip for my pocket knife and didnt want to spend much if I would end up rubbish at it. But it turned out great first time. Leathers fairly thin and soft so would probably opt for thicker leather next time but its 1.5mm thick as stated in the listing. Great for learning to make stuff from leather.

This is a sturdy piece of leather, decent size for the price, it even came in a nice linen bag and I used it to make a pocket journal cover. However, it suffers from one really big issue. It absolutely honks. Whether it is a byproduct of the tanning process or the dye used, my piece has a very strong odour which I can only describe as potent smoked cheese (or if you ever came across it, Stockholm tar). I hoped it would go off with airing but it did not and this rendered it useless for the intended purpose, my pocket smells, my fingers smell, the paper smells, I can smell it when it’s in my pocket so presumably can anyone standing nearby! My only option has been to soak it overnight in a bucket of hot water, this has worked with similar pieces of smelly leather in the past so hopefully I can still use it. Edit: Following an overnight soak and careful drying I reassembled the Journal Cover and after treating the leather with balm this is the end result. Still deducting one start for the additional messing around due to the smell.

I'm new to leather crafting and was looking for some nice leather that isn't to expensive and this stuff is perfect. Would recommend. 👍👍

I am no leather expert, but this is the second piece I have brought and it is perfect for my needs, I tend to practice a design of cheap off cuts and then used this for when I am ready to make a final version and so far all my projects have turned out great with this leather. it is strong and supple easily worked but not to flimsy or thin, and has a great look feel and smell to it!

This leather is awesome and just what I was looking for. It seems very durable and it looks just like what I wanted. I rebinded my Bible for the first time never rebinded anything and overall I’m very happy with the product and think it’s going to last a very long time with this leather. Would buy again it’s inexpensive.
