I am a fan of Neil Gaiman's writing since collecting and reading the Sandman comic book series in the early 90's. I also have the softcover of the book as well which was a great read prior to the comic book series completing. The best part is I purchased this omnibus for under $94 and it retails for like $163 or so, and since I had all the floppies and the paperback novel I was not to keen on paying full price. But wow, the book looks amazing and the slipcover done by David Mack just pops. A phenomenal piece of artwork there. Definitely recommend this to anyone who is a fan of Neil Gaiman and David Mack, and if you can get it on sale even better. Review: Nul - Nul

Great book

Great book but don't come with sleeve

This is like an omnibus but much fancier
Honestly not going to lie, I was going to cancel this and I forget I pre-ordered it in February.... Now that I have it, I'm like "oh... OH... THIS IS NICE I'm definitely keeping it" I'm not going to review the series itself, all I can say their is a bit of nudity and Gore so this is definitely for adults only. Instead I'm just going to talk about this deluxe edition. If your worried about it being damged considering Amazon puts like 0 padding in their boxes don't worry, this comes in its own cardboard box inside the Amazon box so it's pretty safe. You get this absolutely beautiful hardcover case, under the right lighting it even shows a hidden map of were the story takes place! really awesome detail... I would take a picture of it but it doesn't really show up on camera well. The book is this absolutely gorgeous white leather hardbound, with gold foil page edges and yes a ribbon with some symbols on it I'm guessing from the comic. It being so oversized makes it super easy to read and appreciate the artwork more. Yes it is expensive, but seeing how most other ominous just have basic dust covers and nothing else.... All the extras definitely justify it's price point. I definitely recommend it.
