This... actually makes me want to clean.
So--to really understand how good this is, you have to know that our house is just full, right up to the brim, with autism and ADHD. We hate, resent, avoid, and forget the cleaning; we are horrified by our surroundings; we absolutely cannot tolerate the sensory implications of doing it. Or of not doing it. The touch is bad, the smell is bad, the touch and smell of the cleaning products is also very bad. I'm pretty sure this stuff is just straight-up magic. I don't think it's enzymes; I think it's some kind of arcane sorcery. Every gross thing I have ever put off cleaning is made so much easier, with this around. Our sinks and our ovens and our floors and our fridge are sparkling; our pipes, I kid you not, work better; even the Secret Lake of Pee that our darling cats created over a long weekend out of town has been mopped up without a trace, and left no lingering odor in its wake. Friends, *they have not revisited the site of the Secret Lake, not even just to sniff menacingly at it*. And it doesn't even smell like getting stabbed in the nose. Buy this to love your house, all its surfaces, and definitely your gross awful darling pets, more.

I can tell this is the real stuff!
I have fostered many dogs & my new house was all carpet 😬, hence, I consider myself an expert in cleaning up both male & female urine. I use pee pads but sometimes it's hit or miss. Also the males choose to mark their territory, so when I moved, I threw everything away that was damaged, including the furniture. I plan to remove this carpet as well, but until then, I must dab, spray, soak, and clean with a portable rug cleaner. I first start off sprinkling the spot from above with baking soda. It draws the liquid up and out. After scooping that off, I spray with either Odo-ban, Angry orange, or some other carpet cleaner. But now I have Zeiff probiotic enzyme solution & have used it on older spots that I have been treating with everything but no luck. I sprayed the areas with undiluted solition. Right away it smelled better, but when it dries will be the real test. I applied enough to reach into the pad and I will let it sit overnight. I have a blacklight flashlight that I use to find the spots. Most of the time I wet the spot with pet store type enzyme cleaners, wet vac, then treat again & let it sit. I bought the shark rug cleaner; the cleaning solution smells good & the oxy solution works excellent on older stains. It removes them completely. I tried essential oils, vinegar, pet shop enzymes (so many that it's too many to list), febreeze, etc., & read that only the enzyme cleaner can digest the bacteria that causes the smell. I've tried cleaners from the store & none of them worked. So, I would use the orange oil and/or Odo-ban rug cleaner to give the area a lasting scent. I'm not a fan of pressing towels into the urine spot, but lightly dabbing is okay. I find baking soda draws it all up & I use a lot & sprinkle the spot until I have a good 4 inch fluffy pile. So far this enzyme has been working on urine, drains, toilets, etc. when it dries will be the real test. I may have to repeat the treatment, but if it doesn't work, I'll updatey review. I bought the citrus and it's not strong or overwhelming.

Finally tackled that mystery odor!
When I first bought my house, I noticed an odor I could never quite place. Fast forward to recently adopting a pup and let’s just say she decided the living room carpet was her personal porta-potty. That finally pushed me to dig around for a real solution. I recognized this brand from a job I had years ago, where we used it for serious carpet stains, so I figured I’d give it a try at home. I’ve long suspected the previous owner had a dog because I’d occasionally catch that “dog smell” in the summer, and sure enough, my pup kept going back to the same exact spot. So, I saturated the area with this cleaner and let it sit for about an hour. As it worked, the odor I disliked when I first moved in actually intensified which I’m guessing was everything being drawn out of the carpet and padding. Then I used my shampooer to pull up the excess, and the water was absolutely disgusting (both the look and the smell). I don’t know what was in there, and honestly, I don’t think I want to. What I can say is this: the product worked. That mystery odor is gone to my nose, and the carpet smells fresh again. My pup still seems to catch something faint, so I may repeat the process, but I’m impressed with how much it pulled up the first time around. It might feel a little spendy, but it's professional grade and you get what you pay for. If you want to get the problem taken care of the first time, then pay for the good stuff.

Works As Advertised
Throw this product into your carpet cleaner and it’ll become your best friend. It’s very easy to use and actually works. With just a little elbow grease, both the stain and odor were completely removed. While I’m not a huge fan of the citrus scent, it’s definitely not a dealbreaker. If you’re dealing with a lingering smell that just won’t go away, this is a must-have. I’ve tried many enzyme cleaners, and nothing compares to this one. And best of all—it’s pet safe! Highly recommend

Disappointed
The first bottle I got, I loved it and it worked well. So, I ordered it again and the bottle I got didn't have any smell and no matter how much I used it didn't seem to work. It was like I got a bottle of water.

The Difference is More Enzymes (no, really. double, in fact.)
Like other people, I was confused at what made the difference between this item and the "concentrated multi-purpose enzymatic cleaner" that Zeiff sells in the same bottle, so I went investigating. The ingredient list is very nearly almost the same, and I almost bought the multi-purpose cleaner for a bit cheaper until I found the material safety data sheet for this somewhere online, and learned the actual difference. The Pet Stain and Odor Eliminator has literally double the enzyme cocktail of its counterpart, with all else being the same. I have been using it as if it were concentrated like it's sister product and it's *doing actual wonders*, removing the smell and stains of cat urine (and the stains of everything else waste-related honestly) while being diluted according to the instructions of the other bottle. There's one use case where you should be using this straight, and that's the deep rooted stuff stuck in your carpets and mattresses, and while I've not had enough peace to give that a test on the carpet, my mattress uses have left me with full confidence it will remove the persistent call to mark the floor that curses my pets. This is the real deal, and it's a fantastic value given how it works diluted on less thick fabrics if you just follow the other product's instructions and dilute it -- I do like 1 cup per 2 liters of water. White straw hat left on too low a shelf? Fluffy fleece jacket? Shoe odor? Suitcases and couches? I reiterate, the freaking mattress? Keep the surface wet for an hour and you're usually set. Keep it wet for a day for the rough stuff and problem completely solved, once you vaccuum or blot up the leftovers. I'm in awe.

It worked for my kitchen sink
There was a bad smell coming from my kitchen sink. I poured a third of the bottle in the drain and left it overnight. No more bad smell in the morning, this is great !

Have and will repurchase!
Love this stuff. I bought the smaller bottle and when that ran out, I just had to get the bigger one. I mainly use it undiluted to clean pet messes and around toilets. I dilute it to wash my vinyl floors and in the laundry for kids bed wetting accidents

Works great!
Great product! I used baking soda and vinegar twice with little affect. I put about 20 oz. down my drain and rinced with hot water the next morning and problem solved. Absolutely no musty smell!!
