Gave 5 stars not for the movie but for the good value and quality of the process. Second hand ...came in plastic sleeve plus outer dust cover. As new. Under a fiver and quickly delivered.

What’s to say about a cinematic master piece.

I first saw Ran in 1985 . Since then I ve seen it 3 times. Each time it seems to get better. It is a marvellous treatment of Shakespeare. It's King Lear, but it has it own quality as well. Akiro Kurosawa was one of the greatest directors, a true artist.

Arrived on time. Great price. Also classic movie.

I didn't see it when it came out, and I've always meant to; it's up there with his other tributes to Shakespeare and it's different enough from King Lear that it won't matter if you think you already know the story. Also, I'm used to his b+w films: the colour and the panoramic shots are magnificent. I'm going to have to save up for Kagemusha now.

Not sure why this is on Amazon Canada and why seller doesn’t indicate it’s a PAL format, Canada works on the NTSC. Very dissatisfied.
