Finding You at the Zoo Hardcover – September 18, 2020

This book sends such positive messages to readers of all ages. It is one that sits on my coffee table so that I can pick it up daily, turn to a page and feel those words for the day….. The illustrations are lovely. I recommend this highly! I will give it to my friends. Thanks to the author for this work of art!!!

Finding You at the Zoo is a book, while intended for 4th and 5th graders, is for all ages and especially one's who are questioning their own exisitence at this critical time, post pandemic. While I have a vested interest in this book as Legacy Director for Artist Educator Tuska (1931-1998), as a person I would highly recommend this book for self or group help and a teaching moment for educators.Introducing Tuska to Joel a couple of years ago formed an instant bond and collaboration joining two educators mantra in bettering young minds. I have been really enjoying Finding You at the Zoo. I esp. like "you were born in a cage. So what? You live in this cage, but your spirit doesn't need to reside inside. Blood, sweat, tears... Who cares? Rub a little dirt on it all, and stand proud and tall. The illustrations are real fun I really like the one on the Bruised, battered, and shadowed page. Take care, Venkat

"Finding You at the Zoo," beautifully written and illustrated, has become one of my main ways to find solace, delight, and peace. It will engage all audiences young and older. I cannot believe the quality of the illustrations by John Tuska nor the intimate writing of Joel Katte. I urge you to purchase it so that it becomes one of your treasures, too.

This book is kind, caring and encouraging. It is a great reminder that each of us are valuable, that we are loved, and that we matter. I highly recommend this book to everyone. Teachers, read it in your classrooms! Parents, read it to your children! Give it as a gift! It is a must have book!

Another hit by Joel Katte!This is one of those great stories that both children and adults can enjoy.I read it through quickly. I’ll be reading it again this evening when I can enjoy each page and thought.

Joel has an uncanny way of encouragement and inspiration. It's a great book for everyone.

This book will not fail to leave the reader with a renewed sense of self and purpose. A must read for anyone with a servant’s heart.
