Let me start by saying I didn't know what exactly I was looking for. I didn't even know how to start looking. All I knew was the Craftsmen products that I saw in some homes. I wasn't sure how much my gate weighed so I started looking for an opener that could handle something a little heavier. I came across the Topens RK700T and liked that it was small, that it had rails, that it could handle something heavy, and that you could add additional accessories. We received it and we weren't able to install it for a couple of weeks. Not only that, we already had a slab poured so we couldn't use bolts in the concrete. We ended up welding a base for it with holes to match the base of the Topens. It worked flawlessly for.....3 days. Then it stopped. We tried troubleshooting it, which only involved a couple of steps, and still nothing. We contacted tech support through the website and they promptly responded by email with additional instructions. We still couldn't get it to work. They promptly sent out a replacement circuit board, we changed it out, we reset the remotes, and voila!!! Normally I hate having to contact tech support but their quick response let me know they stand behind their products. The Topens operates quietly, the rails were simple to install as well as the motor, and it's been working great for months now. If you're in the market for a well priced, reliable, and quiet product then give the Topens a try. You won't be disappointed.

I ordered this gate opener to open a side-sliding garage door on a 150 year old carriage house. I wasn't sure if the custom installation would even work but decided to give it a try. Order came promptly. Instructions were easy to follow and the installation went fine. I got everything finished and the door would part way close and then stop. A tiny push with one finger and it would continue to close completely. I tried again and again, troubleshooting with the information provided and what I found online. It was a weekend and even though I did not expect anyone to be available, I did call the tech support number and left a message. I was amazed when I got a return call very shortly after I left the message. Customer service was amazing. I explained the problem to the girl that returned my call and she said that she would talk to their engineer and get back to me by email with any other possible fixes. I received the response within a half hour, at 8:30 on a Sunday morning, and the first suggestion worked. The door was working perfectly and has continued to do so for the last six months. I highly recommend the RK700T, not only for the quality of the product but for the excellent customer support that this company provides to it's customers.

I bought this to replace a failed Aleko AR900 gate. Everything works the same as it did in my previous motor and it even worked with the same rail I had for the Aleko. This motor is a little louder than the other one, but I prefer it more than a chain drive motor. I also like that this motor has an auto-close function since I've sometimes opened the gate a little to take out the trash and forget to close it again.

The TOPENS RK700T Automatic Sliding Gate Opener was easy to install and worked well for several months. however due to a defect in my sliding gate that led to friction, it placed the gate opener under sever pressure and damaged the plastic worm gear. I was about to replace the gate opener, when I decided on a whim to reach out to tech support to see whether they sold replacement parts. Alas they did! the Customer service personnel was super helpful and I was able to purchase a metal worm gear to replace the damaged one. Then the limit switch started acting up, possibly damaged from the first incident. I reached out to tech support who guided me to a link where I could purchase a replacement. The service was immaculate! Beyond my expectations to be frank and saved me buying another gate opener!

In some ways this motor has worked well. The motor had enough power for our gate. The key fobs work well up to around 30 yards away. The motor will stop and reverse if it encounters too much closing resistance. I thought using a geared track system might be better than using a chain drive, but we have had enough problems that we are reverting to a chain drive motor. The track drive is nice, I thought, but it needs precise adjustment along its whole length. It seemed easy to get the track attached to the gate properly, but after a while some sections seemed out of adjustment and would slip. Some screws holes got stripped and I had to use oversize screws, creating other issues. I think most of these problems were due to my particular gate, rather than the motor and track, but it still created problems. A chain drive with only two attachments, one at each end, may work better on my particular metal gate. On a different gate, the track drive might be excellent. The price was very reasonable and the components still work fine. I expect to find another gate where this motor works well.

The Gate Opener arrived quickly and was packaged well. The instructions are clear and the product package contents are as described in the listing. It is important to know that the installation of the product is quite involved using electrical and basic concrete work to properly install. Depending on the type of sliding gate you have, different accessories are available on the company's website. I have not completed the installation as we are still waiting on our custom gate to arrive, but we were able to test that the opener works and is quieter than we expected. Within the package is a catalog of the available accessories along with a diagram of the control board. The unit will need to be set up using the control board and will differ based on what accessories you add to the system.

After owning these gate openers for over 2 years, I must say they work. Easy install. Tech support is amazing. I did have to work through some minor issues. Zack in customer service is very helpful; He responds very quickly to any questions or concerns. For the money, this gate opener is great value. I have two that open 14ft aluminum gates. Value for money: Great product.
