You can use each side on your face until you are not comfortable (roughly 10 shaves).If you shave your head you'll get roughly 2 on each blade side totalling 4.There are other blades out there though. Bevel is good. Merkur is good. Shark is good. Each has a different feel. So even though they last different amounts of time, it doesn't mean "better". . . . . And I have tried a lot of different brands. I am aware that every person has different skin and hair so your experience may be different, but I have been using these for years and always get a perfectly smooth shave with no irritation. And while I do use the Bevel handle and its a great compliment to the blades, I have had equal performance from all the different handles I own so I know the blades themselves are the main source of the experience.
