Sea Best Seafood Festival Shrimp and Crab Pot, 3 Pound

My seafood just arrived...the contents were frozen solid with signs of any issues. I can see a future for the styrofoam box it came in! Im saving the seafood as a special treat for Thanksgiving, if I can wait that long to sample it! Once I've actually cooked and tasted the seafood, I'll update my review. UPDATE: I was amazed at just how much seafood was in the bag! Prepared it per instructions and it was a true taste delight...so much so that I ordered 5 more 3-lb. bags - 4 to give as Christmas gifts and 1 for me. The 5 bags were packed in styrofoam boxes with plenty of dry ice so everything arrived in perfect condition! Tons of shrimp, two small-medium claw leg sections with 4-5 legs each plus 10-12 mussels, which I'd never eaten before and probably won't eat again. More than enough seafood for three people when served with fries and coleslaw...we even had some shrimp left over! What a great buy!

My wife and I had this for dinner tonight. It was awesome. I bought some corn on the cob and red potatoes so we had this with the seafood. The spices that came with it flavored it perfectly. I will be ordering this again. I will be adding a few more crab legs to it because it only had 3 or so but that's okay the mussels and shrimp were so good. If you are into seafood, you gotta tru this. The price is very low for what you get depending on how my you are feeding, you might want to add some crab legs but still well worth the money.

So, I am personally a big seafood lover. And this is a pretty decent deal even if it is just a tad pricy. (Most likely for the crab legs) The bags come well frozen in disposable Styrofoam coolers packed with dry ice. The seafood has seasoning included but I like to add more to it.. namely Old Bay, lemon, and bay leaves. If you have a big enough pot for it you can make a delicious boil as shown in the included picture. I personally added corn, andouille sausage, and potatoes. But you can of course add whatever you like. Maybe some crawfish as well? The only issue I have with this seafood pot in a bag is the mussels. They taste fine enough, but seem kinda rubbery. Maybe I prepared it wrong? Maybe instead of a boil it is meant to be steamed. But either way, it is good eats overall. If you wanna splurge on some decent quality seafood without breaking the bank, go ahead and pick yourself up a bag or two.

I ordered 3 bags of these mainly because my daughter LOVES shrimp and I wanted the crab legs to make an alien facehugger monster for Friday the 13th this year. There's an insane amount of food PER BAG! SOOOO MUCH SHRIMP AS WELL! OMG -YES! I would buy repeatedly! Arrived fresh, tho package was leaking but it was a heat wave and it was still cold. All of the crabs legs on the facehugger came from one bag...(8) pieces. Each bag contains: shrimp, crab legs and mussels. Flavor was great but I added old bay anyway - I LOVE IT! Don't be on the fence, buy it - you can feed a small army!

OK. This is coming from someone who regularly buys 'Greenland Shrimp, also known as Northern shrimp. Once you have had that, it's all over and you wonder what the hell you have been eating all your life. That being said this was beyond low quality. 4 crab legs, obviously seconds and super skinny and salty. A few mussles, and lots, lots of supermarket watery, tasteless 'shrimp'. I put the whole caboodle out for my family of racoons and they wouldn't touch it. I'm not mad about it. I knew going in it was probably what I thought it would be. If I could give it 0 stars I would. It's that bad. Oh and for those that think this is good....... Shoot, I didn't take any pics but take my word for it, the seafood which I purchased was fresh, nicely packaged, came in a cooler with these freeze packs, cooking was easy, and the seasoned was to perfection better than eating out, now this company I will tell others about as much as possible with all positivity behind every kind word I speak of to explain the seafood crab platter package I purchased from them. If you haven't tried this business. give their seafood a try I promise, you will be satisfied and pleased with the packaging alone. This will be good served at home for a date night or even with a friend, this meal has the look to impress. enjoy

I payed $25.55 for this. Frist the good points: I arrived in a good sized cooler with a good size dry ice pack. It arrived at my house still frozen. Now the bad points: The quantities are very small. I took these pictures two minutes after I open the bag to show the small amount I received in the bag. The bag was only a little over half full. I only received 1 cluster of crab legs (tiny skinny legs) . They were tiny sized as shown in picture and only one cluster. The rest of the bag were only medium sized shrimp and small sized mussels. For the amount of money it cost the quanity receive made it not a good buy. I will not be ordering from this brand again for these reasons.

My daughter's and I were so excited to find this on Amazon and that you could purchase it using EBT. We are not big meat eaters and are always on a tight budget so it has been nice to buy this occasional treat for dinner. There is usually a ton of shrimp , about 10 mussels, and a small cluster of crab legs. Sometimes we make our own sauce to go on top of it but you can definitely just eat the sauce the food cooks in. We usually make 2 bags for 3 of us, add our own potatoes and corn and have enough left over for 1 or two more servings.
