Facial Moisurizing Cream for Humans With Demodicosis | Original | - 0.5 oz

I had been struggling with Rosacea for 5 years and have tried EVERYTHING! I had multiple topical prescriptions and oral prescriptions and nothing helped. I was desperate to find a cure, my husband found this line and I was sceptic. If ivermectin and doxycycline didn’t help why would this!? A week into using it the puss filled bumps went away. Two weeks in and my redness was dramatically reduced. 5 months in and you would never know that I suffered from rosacea. I can go in the sun, the heat, the cold and I have no reaction at all. It is worth every penny!

Nine months ago, I suffered what I thought was an allergic reaction to some hydroquinone cream. My skin turned red and dry, and I started peeling, especially around my nostrils, eyebrows, brow bone and hairline. I became extremely sun-sensitive, and my skin felt itchy, especially when it came into contact with water. I tried prescription-strength hydrocortisone cream and, later, a Prednisone taper, with no impact. Finally, I saw a dermatologist, who diagnosed me with rosacea. She gave me a script for azelaic acid, which was also not helpful and only made my skin worse. The literature that came with the cream said something like, “Your doctor may have added this [ingredient] if he/she believes your rosacea is caused by mites.” MITES? WTF?! No one mentioned anything about mites. I started researching demodex mites and read that they are associated with rosacea. I also read that a mite population can explode in a matter of hours after, among other things, exposure to chemicals (like my hydroquinone cream). Bingo! I feel simultaneously elated to have an answer and completely grossed out. My research led me to this cream, which I bought, along with the face wash, shampoo, mask, and eye/eye brow cream. I guess volatile essntial oils are a very effective treatment against demodex mites, so if you can’t afford this stuff try mixing a few drops of tea tree oil in your moisturizer. If you can afford it, though, I highly recommend this cream, which I think is the most effective of all the Ovante products I tried. Within three weeks, my mite problem is completely under control, and my skin looks better than it has in 10 years. It peeled like crazy for the first two weeks, mostly in the problem areas, but if you can get through that, it’s worth it. I only wear it at night (that’s when the mites come out to breed), and I alternated nights until my skin could tolerate nightly use. The smell leaves much to be desired, but it’s a small price to pay for the improved complexion and ability to go out in the sun again. Other changes I made include eliminating gluten and sugar (mostly) from my diet, replacing my pillows and makeup, and changing my sheets and towels much more frequently. Also cleaning makeup brushes weekly and soaking them in 140 degree water.

I am Asian, so this review could be especially valuable to someone with asian skin. My first language is not English but I am trying my best to write this review here just hoping to help someone who has similar skin problems. I have a lot of little white bumps (acne) on my face for years, and have been to so many doctors - no one, nothing can help me but this. Here's a brief timeline of the whole treatment process (I am not sure which product helps the most so I included everything here): Week 1 to week 3: I washed my face twice every morning and night using demodex facial washer for the first wash and erno laszlo black soap + 2 drop tea tree oil for second wash -> pat dry then applied demodex control face cream -> after 2 minutes, I applied vanicream (which I added 3 drops tea tree oil) every morning and night. I experience up and down of my symptoms during this 3 weeks but in the end of the 3rd week, my acnes reduced 50%. Week 3 to week 4: I added the demodex mask to the process, applied everyday after washed my face, then proceed the cream processes. Reduced another 10% white bumps. Week 4 to week 5: I still have 40% white bumps, no improvement after the 4th week. Week 5 to week 6: I used Demodex control PLUS instead of Demodex control cream, my skin was cleared, 99% cleared! I am so happy and can't believe it really works! The routine become demodex facial washer for the first wash and erno laszlo black soap + 2 drop tea tree oil for second wash -> pat dry then apply demodex control PLUS face cream -> after 2 minutes, I apply vanicream (which I add 3 drops tea tree oil) every morning and night.) Besides these, I have to mention that I changed some of my daily habit. I wash my hair every night (added 4 drops tea tree oil to my shampoo) and I steam my pillow every night. I also drink less alcohol and eat less products contains nut. All in all, if you have acne problem and has never cured from any over the counter acne treatment or any dermatology visit, I highly recommend you give Demodex PLUS cream a try! (And tea tree oil is a most) P.s. To compare Demodex control Plus and Demodex control cream - Texture: texture is a lot different. Demodex control Plus is dryer, more like powder and Demodex control cream is softer like gel. Smell: Demodex control Plus has strong sulfur smell and Demodex control cream has only mint/ginger smell. Irritation: I feel nothing but dry after put Demodex control Plus on my face, while I feel irritate after apply Demodex control cream, but the symptoms goes away within 5 minutes. I love the soap and shampoo, they're helping, but the lotion made my skin worse overnight. The first and only time I used it I got pustules and angry scabby redness that had cleared up before , had to start healing over again. Now I have expensive lotion that's too harsh to use. It tarnished a silver necklace that wasn't affected by the soap or shampoo, (I can wear it swimming and everywhere, I never take it off, nothing but this lotion has done this to it.)

First time using the product. This has worked well for me. My redness has subsided. I do not use it daily because it is insanely expensive. If you think the tiny container is small at first glance, it’s actually 1/2 that size due to a thick false bottom. A marketing scam. Wish they didn’t have to fool their clientele.

In March 2021 I suddenly was experiencing mass pimple like bumps all over my face. I have never had pimples to speak of before in my life and I had no idea what was going on. After months of researching what was going on with my face and trying different acne soaps and exfoliating, I figured out I had to have rosacea and it was probably brought on by thinking in February that I should try a new facial routine which included washing my face with some fancy oil wash that was supposed to be the greatest thing ever. Someone in a blog somewhere mentioned something about a type of mite that lives in the pours of your face, everyone has them, however, sometimes they can get out of control and cause a type of rosacea. I think mine got out of control from all the oil I was rubbing all over my face-the mites love oil. I did some research and came across Demodex Mite Eliminating Face Cream. I started using this product the very night I got it and saw results within the next day or two. I could tell that I wasn't getting any new "pimples" but it did take time for my face to heal from the ones I had. I would say a couple of weeks. I am happy to say that it's been almost a year and I have not had a reoccurrence. After about 2 months of using the product, I started using it less and less. I still use it because I like how nice it makes my skin look and feel but I only use it about once a week and very little of it. I will also say that my dermatologist wouldn't even acknowledge the product when I finally was able to get in to see her. She prescribed me Soolantra. I did try Soolantra (Super expensive) but I started to see the bumps come back. I had at the same time been talked into a fancy face cream guaranteed to be perfect for skin with Rosacea. Not-the bumps started coming back. I went back to Demodex and my very inexpensive Cetaphil Pro Eczema face lotion and Vanicream Face cleanser. I hope this helps someone else out there who is having the same issue. I waited to give a review for several months just because I wanted to make sure.

Honestly, I originally purchased this to battle the irritation I was having on my scalp and hairlines (particularly by my ears) and after a few times of using it (mind you- you don’t need to use a lot. I would dot it around my face where I needed it) I didn’t know what else to do with the leftovers. Then I ran out of deoderant and saw the pasty consistency. Plopped it on both armpits and have been AMAZED at how effective it was. I have NEVER found a deodorant that worked for me and I have eye watering, onion smelling body odor (and my bf still loves me)! I especially smell when I eat something I’m allergic to. Buuuut, this stuff works. Just don’t load it on too strong because tea tree oil is fairly strong in small amounts and will cause burns if you go all buck wild. Also, it is not an invisible solid, if ya know what I mean. I ordered the 0.5 last year and finally ran out. Hope this helps!

With only one application, the itchiness and redness lessened tremendously. Very pleased with the product. And a little goes a long way.

This cream is made of easily available ingredients, not sure why it should be so expensive for just 15g. Not sure also if it works better than tea tree oil or cream - I consider this item as a huge waste of money.
