Excellent 6- and 2-lead EKG readings with a very portable, brain-dead simple device at a good price
This is an awesome device for performing advanced EKG analyses from the comfort of your home. I purchased it to assist in monitoring runs of SVT (super ventricular tachycardia) that I experience from time to time, which are mostly benign but I like to know that what's happening are SVTs and not something else.I love the ability to share the EKG readings with my cardiologist, and the ability to have a real cardiologist analyze the EKG (up to 4 times a year with the $99 membership; first year is included in the device price). The 6L is brain-dead simple to use. Just fire up the app, click 'Record EKG', make sure the device is oriented correctly (with the logo like an 'A'), put your thumbs on the pads and place the back of the device on your left thigh or ankle. 30 seconds later, a 6-lead EKG is done. You can also create a two-lead EKG without requiring it to be connected to your leg.I can't speak to battery life yet, but I'd imagine it lasts quite a while. Replacing the battery will require removing two small screws but shouldn't take long. I also really like the size of the 6L; you can literally slip it into a purse or a pocket, and it's very easy to travel with.Overall, this is a great value when you consider the cost of getting a professional EKG done, although I should mention that this is definitely not a replacement for a real ER or cardiologist visit. I see this mainly as a nice addition to my BP monitor and smart watch. It's quick and easy to use and $99/year for the membership after year one is a pretty good deal when you consider you're getting 4 cardiologist EKG readings as a part of cost.

Terrific EKG available at anytime
Helped to catch my aritmia that I had from the childhood but could not diagnose as it was random, but started happen more often once I crossed 60. Emailed EKG to Dr and eventully did ablation 5 years ago that worked great. Ablation was done exclusively based on Kardia recordings, other monitors didn't catch (wow). Dr. reveiw was required as not every arithmia besided AFIB can we identified by the device. When 5 years later device stopped working, bought another one next day without hesitation.

Included Subscription Failed, Device Still Requires Payment, and Support Has Been Frustrating
I purchased the KardiaMobile 6L Max because it was supposed to include a 1-year KardiaCare membership, and I wanted to trial the device to see if it would be a good fit for use in my clinic and possibly with patients.Unfortunately, the device has not worked as expected. During setup, I was prompted to pay for a subscription even though the first year was supposed to be included. After contacting support, I was told the issue would be corrected and the device should begin working within 24 hours. However, the device still says I need an active subscription and continues prompting me to pay. This has now been going on for about a month. My first support ticket was submitted around April 18, and a second request was made on May 15. I was told the device should work by the end of the day or the following day, but it still does not work as of May 19.Another frustrating part of the process is that when you call and speak with someone, they appear to only be able to create a ticket. The actual support team then contacts you by email, which makes the process slow and difficult when the device still is not working. When support does email, they request additional information that has to be verified before they can continue helping, which adds even more delay. It feels like it takes days just to move the issue forward.I also requested information about the Kardia 12L and provider portal because I was interested in potentially using AliveCor/Kardia products in my clinic. I have now been told twice that someone from sales would contact me, but I still have not heard from anyone. The device itself may be useful if everything is activated correctly, but my experience so far has been very frustrating. At this point, the difficulty getting the included subscription activated, the inability to use the device, and the lack of sales follow-up are making me reconsider whether AliveCor/Kardia is the right solution for my clinic.Overall, I cannot recommend the 6L Max right now unless AliveCor resolves the included membership activation issues and improves support follow-up.

Peace-of-mind pocket EKG: small, shareable, worth practicing before you need it
Quick answers:Easy setup? YesEasy to use immediately? Takes practicePortable? VeryResults fast? Yes, about 30 secondsEasy to share with doctor? YesWould buy again? YesI bought this at the recommendation of my physician, and it has been incredibly helpful for those “is this serious or is my body just doing jazz hands?” moments. It gives me a way to record what’s happening and share it with my doctor instead of guessing or running in every time I feel something weird.Setup was easy, the packaging was nice, and the device itself is small and convenient to keep nearby. The one thing I’d tell everyone: practice before you actually need it. The 6L reading can be a little tricky at first because you have to get the sensors positioned correctly on your ankle/knee area and hold still for the full recording. The first few times felt awkward, but it gets much easier once you know where to place everything. For me, the value is excellent compared with the cost and stress of unnecessary urgent care/ER trips. The app/subscription setup is also useful because recordings can be stored and shared with your doctor.Bottom line: This is a great peace-of-mind tool, especially if your doctor recommends tracking symptoms. Small learning curve, big usefulness.

Peace of mind in your pocket!
I can’t say enough good things about this device. It has been incredibly easy to use and provides high-quality ECG recordings in just 30 seconds.I purchased it to monitor my dog’s heart rhythm at home (under the guidance of his veterinary cardiologist), and it has been an invaluable tool. It has allowed me to capture rhythm strips between appointments and share them with his specialist when needed. The recordings have been clear and consistent, making it much easier to monitor changes over time. The app is simple to use, the device is compact enough to take anywhere, and the battery life has been excellent. While it doesn’t replace professional medical care, it has provided tremendous peace of mind and has been a fantastic complement to my dog’s ongoing cardiac care.Whether you’re using it for yourself or, with your veterinarian’s guidance, to help monitor a pet with a heart condition, I highly recommend it. It’s one of the best health-related purchases I’ve ever made.

Def recommend for anyone with any type of heart issue or chest pains.
Actually a great product that’s simple to use once u get it set up. While it doesn’t tell u if ur having a heart attack, it will tell u if there are any abnormal ekg situations going on, ur heart rate, etc. I like that it actively monitors and saves ur previous ekg and that u can share them with someone else, like ur doctor. The battery life so far has been phenomenal. I’ve yet to have to charge it since I first charged upon getting it. It’s very small and easy to carry with u to gym, work or really anywhere u want to take it. I found a case easily online and I clip it right to my purse so it’s always with me easily.U can also save BO readings (it won’t take them itself) on ur app to go with the EKG readings. And it really is very functional and a great thing to have if u have worries or heart disease or issues that u are struggling with. It also helps with panic attacks too I have found. When I am panicking I can use this and when it tells me my heart ekg is normal sinus rhythm it’s helps me to calm down knowing that it’s not my heart but just me panicking again. Which if u get panic attacks like me, is priceless. Truly.

Things you didn’t know you need to know!
These 6 L are great. Bought for my husband ended up using on me. Afib trip to hospital!Never had it before. It told me a first possible afib. Waited 20 minutes said afib. Ten minutes more things were getting worse paid for report to be done got back 7 pages that told me to seek medical attention now! 2 days in the hospital. Seek a cardiologist he ask how did I know it was afib? I said Kardia I showed him the info he sent it to placed in my chart. He went on to show his student dr with him that day. He said” these are amazingly accurate “. Then we showed him how it worked. I have sold 7-8 of these showing people how they work! I carry with me all the time you can use it on anyone! 😊

Kardia 6L Max - Beware. Horrible Customer Service.
Product Review: Kardia 6L Max – Decent Device, Horrendous Customer ServiceWhile the Kardia 6L Max device itself seems to function as intended, my experience with Kardia’s customer service has been nothing short of a nightmare. I purchased the unit through Amazon, which included a bundled membership. Wanting to ensure I onboarded correctly, I called Kardia's customer support. The representative walked me through the setup step-by-step.When we got to the membership portion, I was asked to enter my credit card. I clearly stated that the membership was already paid for through my Amazon purchase. I was reassured that this was standard procedure and that I would not be charged.Well, I was—$99, right off the bat.I called back to explain what happened, only to be made to feel like it was somehow my mistake. Support gave me a series of steps to follow to correct the issue, which I followed precisely—and was then charged another $99. I called back again, and again was talked down to and blamed for the issue. Eventually, I escalated to a supervisor, who discovered that I had two additional memberships and asked, “How did you even do that?”My answer: by following your customer service instructions. She apologized, canceled the extra memberships, and promised a $200 refund. But when she canceled the memberships, the EKG unit stopped working entirely—it was bricked and unusable.Another call. Another explanation. More blame. I was told to reconnect the device to the app and follow new instructions—again, followed them exactly—and was charged another $99.At this point, I’d been on the phone for 10+ hours, wrongly charged $300, and made to feel like this was all somehow my fault despite trying to do the right thing and using their support. I finally received an email from the same supervisor admitting:“We fixed the problem—it was our fault all along.”While I did eventually receive my money back, the stress, time loss, and utter lack of accountability or customer care made this entire process miserable. It was an appalling experience from a company that sells a health-related product, where support and trust should be paramount. My final verdict: 0/10 for customer experience. The device itself might be fine, but buyer beware—if anything goes wrong, don’t expect help. You'll be the one paying—literally and emotionally—for their lack of training and internal coordination.

Showed Bluetooth connection but won't record
I have now had 2 of these devices as because the first stopped recording i was sent a second, which worked at first, then it also stopped.Despite several emails with the manufacturer I could not get either to work again. The manufacturer doesn't appear able to solve the problem. Then yesterday I took one out just to try again. Guess what? I got 2 readings out of it. That was it. Shows green light so Bluetooth ok, but will not record again.Interestingly an error message came up on phone (Samsung A31) which I've not had before - "low energy device". I presume that means the Kardia is a low energy device? So now, despite needing to measure my AF I have no workable equipment.
