Make sure that the thicker part is sticking out of your ear where the Tavis. Push in till you get a nice seal. The tab is there so that you can pull on it to get them out. These are very good quality and keep out a lot of noise. My wife love them **Q: Where is the size label on the ear plugs? How to tell if medium or small?** A: There are two ways to tell if ear plugs are either medium or small. Placing the ear plugs side by side there is a slight difference noticeable in the sizes. The medium is slightly longer then the small size.
