We started using Orijen Senior when my dog - a wire fox terrier - turned ten years old. He is 15 now and still doing great. We feed him this for breakfast everyday, and cook for his dinner. While this dog food is expensive, it is worth every penny. As you can tell from the photo, even with my dog's advanced age his fur still has vibrant colors. I previously had two other wire fox terriers years ago, was not feeding them Orijen (didn't even know about it at the time), and by the time they reached about 12 years old, they had lost all their colors and turned completely white/grey.You will quickly notice the high quality whenever you open the bag, the food is still quite moist and fresh.We did in the past give him other Orijen food, but have stuck with the senior since it seems to really help him maintain a healthy digestive system.If you have an older dog, I implore you to feed them this excellent dog food!

This less processed kibble has been great for my aging dog. He loves it and it seems to agree with him. I feel good knowing my dog is getting a higher quality dog food that is also more affordable.

My Bugs is getting older, and when he hit 11, he started to fall apart. Eye sight first, weight gain and no enthusiasm.Started researching better quality food after seeing a Dr Marty's dog food commercial. It showed me with receipts to back up the fact that human grade farmers dog was good, but did not contain organ meat. The leader of the pack gets first dibs on a kill in the wild and they go for the organ meat.So I started Bugs on Dr Marty's and don't get me wrong it's great. Currently Bugs is on a 50/50 Orijen Senior and Dr Marty's Senior. Since I am down to my last bag of Dr Marty's, and Orijen is just a tad bit cheaper and the ingredients overlap, I thing for the New Year of 2024, I will switch him over to just Orijen.I hear the company got bought out by another maker of Dog Food.I will keep an eye on the ingredients and where the product is made. If not made in the U.S. or Canada or the quality ingredients change, I will go back to Dr Marty's.Bugs is a Boston, currently on 1/2 cup twice a day and he gobbles it down.He gets Orijen treats as a good boy reward.Outdoor energy levels are improving, he is slimmer, still working on the eyes but there is improvement there as well.He now runs the fence line chasing the kids in their ebikes and scooters.Happy so Far with the switch.

Yes, this food is expensive. Let's get that out of the way now. Unfortunately, for many people it's downright unaffordable. But, if you can afford it, I recommend it hands down.My dog is a picky eater, she doesn't like kibble and it's usually a struggle to get her to eat it. She liked Blue Diamond, but after reading numerous people detailing issues they've had with the brand and their pets (I never had any myself) I decided to switch her to a new brand. After MUCH research, Orijen is the brand I landed on.It must taste pretty good, because she LOVES the food. I love the ingredient list (different types/cuts of meat make up the first fifteen ingredients) and the fact that it is made in the U.S. and the ingredients are sourced here as well. Interestingly, they don't even have to add vitamins or minerals to the food since the variety in animal proteins and meat cuts covers all their dietary needs.Overall, I have to say that we're both pretty happy with Orijen.

Great product for my senior dog. She is 10 years now. I'm always worried about her food. This product keeping my pet healthy but problem is not available all time due to high demand I suppose.
