Some Favorite Days

I was raised in the area of Coker Farm and spent time there with Pony Club. Judy Richter was always an idol for me! So fun to read her memoirs!! I recommend this book to anyone involved in the horse life and horse showing!!

I found this book on a shelf at a tackstore in Florida. Bypassing all the other "things" I could buy on my winter vacation, I chose this book. Judy writes about reclaiming an ancient, rundown farm, with love and perserverence. She talks about her horses there and her everyday life. I found it a peaceful and charming book, and one that I know I will read again.

This charming book gives you a peek into the rarified world of money, horses and New England values. The author is too well-bred (like her horses) to brag. She presents the literal dirt in her life: mud season, stable cleaning, etc. I couldn't put it down.
