Its not permanent and you can take it with you if you ride stationary at the gym- don't leave it -it will be gone next time you go to the gym. Great seat cover that lets you keep your standard seat, but add a layer of comfort. A prior review helped me decide to get this one, as it fits nicely around a larger saddle made by Specialized. I also appreciate that it didn't have the straps that other such bike covers had. And if you have second thoughts because a couple of reviews indicated that this slips, I'd say forget those reviews. This stays perfectly in place, and keeps you nice and comfy.My one quibble is that it is not stated to be waterproof. I doubt I will purposefully ride in the rain, but would like to know that it at least has that capability. That might be a good enhancement. As such, I'd probably give it 4.5 as of now, but Amazon doesn't have that option. You can get a rain cover separately. I did, but that is a bit of a hassle. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ soft cushioned comfort to increase biking comfort *by A***C on Reviewed in the United States on May 3, 2019* I am an older bike rider who has been having to stop a lot to rest my bony butt on my rides up City Creek Canyon. It is 5.8 miles and 1300 feet in elevation gain, so it takes some effort. But I love the place. It is just that my butt does not share all my sentiments.I bought another similar Bontranger bike saddle cushioned cover for my Trek DualSport 4 and it is mostly positive. It fits my Bontranger mid size comfort saddle a bit better, but the padding is not as soft, the material is slippery so I tend to ride forward on the saddle, and the price was twice the price of this saddle cover. This saddle cover does not fit quite as well as the matched brand, but it fits just fine, and I like the softer padding better and the less slippery top material much better. This is very good for improving your comfort without buying a heavy, wide saddle and you can take it off if you do not need it on a ride or if it is raining and muddy and you are hatin' life. I am quite pleased with this product.Zero problems with this cover slipping around on the saddle.
