Der-Franz Espresso organic Coffee, whole bean, 1000 g

I'm new to this Espresso malarkey and these were a recent upgrade from supermarket beans. Wow, what a difference: I guess because Amazon shift so many, these are very fresh so the beans even look different to the (I realise now) dried out ones from the supermarket. These are a lot more robust and flavoursome than what I'm used to but they taste good and give a lovely crema. There may be better out there but TBH, for the price you can't go too far wrong. I'll be ordering more, in fact I'll be sorting out a subscription once I know how long a bag lasts.

Been buying this coffee for a couple of years now, it's always consistent with quality and taste. I use it for lattes and espresso, even my friends compliment "my coffee" :)

This coffee seems very bitter some days more than others. However, I mixed it with other coffees and experimented, then preferred it on its own. It's a strong coffee so you might not need much. All in all don't expect a smooth coffee, sometimes bitter tasting but a good price.

What's there not to like ? Amazing value ,especially for organic beans. Apparently all sorts of nasty chemicals are routinely sprayed by farmers . Not sophisticated but a nice stronge robust coffee flavour that produces a good crema when used in my bean to cup machine. Be warned ,as these beans are 30 percent robusta they have a lot of caffeine, which maybe too much for some.

We get through coffee in our house like a freight train, so decided to try this as at under £10/kg it is good value. Taste is not the best, but as expected for a budget coffee, and some of the other styles from the same manufacturer offer better. All in all, a good purchase and would by again.

Excellent value. Its very strong but the flavour is bitter with a slight burnt taste.

I'm no expert on coffee, but this tastes good to me, a strong but not bitter flavour, possibly because of the claimed low acidity. Also best value for organic beans, so I do recommend. The beans are dark & oily, intense aroma, relatively small beans, I believe.

Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, ho impiegato un pò più di tempo del dovuto per ottenere la migliore estrazione, il risultato è un caffè cremoso e aromatico, persistente al palato. Una piacevole scoperta!

Rectifico mi opinión anterior. Al probarlo por 4 vez puedo asegurar, que este café es como pocos probé de calidad y que denota uno de los más bajos porcentajes en la nada conveniente acrilamida. El café cuando está muy muy tostado, por contra a lo que muchas personas pensarían, que al tostarlo más contendrá mayor cantidad de acrilamida, Es al revés, pero sólo en el café, no es así en otros tipos de alimentos que a mayor temperatura, o cocinado resurge más de esta, considerada posible carcinógeno. A el café, si le quitasen la acrilamida, que se puede, al igual que quitaron está de ciertas marcas de patatas fritas en EEUU... por problemas de salud... al quitarle esta, pierde todo su característico sabor, muchs personas ni lo volverían a tomar. de hay viene que cambié mi opinión al 100%, por entonces estaba tomando un café mucho más intenso, lo que conlleva casi siempre mayor acrilamida y sabor más fuerte... y me confundió al probar este. Hace tiempo buscaba un café de tostado, de máximo tostado, calidad y sabor constante, pero de calidez a la vez, pues a la cuarta taza que tomé, eso es lo que encontré, Yo mis cafés los hago casi siempre largos, muy largos, recién molido y con mucha agua y colados en filtro de algodón ecológico, pongo más cantidad de café del normal y que bueno está, menos intenso que un tipo cápsulas, o máquina por supuesto, pero considero que al ser colado y no con presión, se extrae del café menos cantidad de no convenientes y buen sabor si es de calidad, este lo es y hace que no probé otro igual y no es por la cuarta taza, ya tomé bastantes más, y si no cambia esta marca de calidad, (ya que las nuevas cosechas a veces son algo, o más diferentes), compraré de nuevo esta. Para mi es importante aunque baje algo en intensidad de sabor, (a mi me gusta fuerte), pero lo prefiero porque baja y no poco la cantidad de acrilamida, que habitualmente se toma con la mayoría de cafés. Lo único que no veo correcto, es que marque intensidad máxima, la acrilamida marca mucho esa intensidad, o sabor, a más acrilamida mayor, pero evidentemente también el tipo de café, como siempre. los granos que vinieron se ven como si fuese algo brillantes o lacados y eso es una característica de tipo café y su manera y intensidad de tostado

Ho provato il Der-Franz Espresso biologico in chicchi da 1 kg e sono rimasto davvero molto soddisfatto. Il caffè ha un aroma intenso e piacevole, con un gusto equilibrato e corposo, perfetto sia per espresso che per cappuccino. La crema risulta densa e persistente, proprio come al bar. I chicchi appaiono di buona qualità e la tostatura è ben fatta, senza note troppo amare o bruciate. La confezione da 1000 g è conveniente e mantiene bene la freschezza del caffè. Nel complesso un prodotto eccellente, dal gusto ricco e dal ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.
