Fiancee won't try cheaper stuff so I can't say if this works better or worse than normal store brand, but our 15 lb, 12 year old jack russell/rat terrier is significantly more energetic and mobile after a few weeks of 1 oz of this supplement. Sprinkled on her food, she seems to enjoy it.
