Edit Sept 6. Unit is still working great. If the wifi app was a bit better I would absolutely buy another(the cost of their wifi box is rather expensive though). The support team told me that the unit works over Rs485 modbus, but I haven't had time to mess with it much. Just make sure you run the DC load at max of 10A or so and use a SSR/contactor rated high to actually trigger your load. New unit seems to be working great. Wish they made a LV2424 equivalent model,as the app actually seems to be of the better ones used in any non grid tie brands. (quick updates from controller, doesn't have any issues other than not being able to modify charger options reliably). Edit (Aug 5th 2020): new unit came in and worked with the wifi adapter. Unfortunately the lcd didn't, but Vivian sent me the step to quickly swap over the lcd from my other unit as it's the exact same. After that I haven't had any issues with it since. The hardware is very well built but I think the QC needs an extra check. At the least they were willing to help me and sent me an entire new unit out too. YMMV but after all is said and done I'm upgrading my original review to 5 stars since they stuck through it and got me something that works again. Edit: after a lengthy week with multiple people, I finally spoke with Vivian. She has sent out me a new one, and once the replacement is here I will update to 4+ stars. OLD REVIEW Got it since they were "cheap" and comparable to others. Works great if you get lucky I suppose. Had it installed for weeks with no issues, even using the DC Load option. Got the WiFi box (for an extra hundred bucks, it's just an ESP8266 with a converter board in it). App is lackluster at best. It will show you SOME info. Nothing is seemingly accurate and the app barely communicates with the controller long enough to try and change any option that it does have. It does talk to the "cloud" or whatever server in china is likely hoarding the data. The DC Load option on mine broke (stuck to always ON so I can't change my inverter on and off with the PV or by time, I assume because it can't actually switch the MOSFETS or whatever they're using at the true full power of the controller. (My inverter pulls around 30A constantly FWIW, with a circuit breaker of 30A as well.)). Never got an answer from "Top One Power". Even tried multiple email accounts and their Facebook Messenger platform. Stay away if you are only semi-lucky of a person. Not worth the aggravation of being such a decent product ruined by bad design and durability. I don't ever write reviews for products but hopefully someone doesn't get hopeful that they seemingly make some other "good" products (like the NOT-AN-AIMS inverters and such). Don't waste your money like I have now. Go get something MPP Solar or EP Ever and don't waste time and effort!! For the cost of time and money by now, I could have gotten an LV series from MPP Solar that just works. As an IT admin, I'd rate it 0/5 stars all over if I could. I can't imagine not knowing WiFi/Networking and trying to get the broken-English app and manual figured out.

This is a very nice controller, I have used a lot of Expensive ones like the outback and this is by far better. The metal housing is very heavy, well constructed. The circuit boards inside are very professional , nice and clean. I run 2 of these and both work great together. Overall it is very easy to set . I charge lithium 7s 10p 18650 packs for our off grid solar system, with lithium you just have the float charge level to set and in my case its 29.2 volts and the controllers are spot on. The only problem I have with these is I wish the cable lugs were bigger, I think these will handle 6 gauge. My wife and I have been doing the off grid thing for many years so for any of you are looking for a good product you will not be dissapointed with this. The fan comes on at about 20amp, and if you buy one your manual will probably say the pass code is down arrow 3 times then up arrow 3 times, if that does not work than reverse the code. Five Stars!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did buy an 80 amp one a couple of months ago and it works great. one big difference is that the cable lugs are nice and big, 3x bigger than the 60 amp

Product arrived and seemed made well and of great quality. It appears worth the amount more than similar products. Update: still 5 stars and it has been working great at our of grid cottage as our secondary battery bank controller with great success and reliability.
