Spanish Hot Chocolate Podwer 200g | Gluten Free, Soya Free, and Dairy-free Chocolate Drink | Vegan | Chocolate a la taza

This hot chocolate is incredibly thick and tasty, just like the real Spanish style. A Spanish friend introduced me to this type of hot chocolate and this powder gets very close to what you’d find over there. The texture is rich and creamy, and the flavor is deep without being overly sweet. The quality is great and it makes a really comforting drink, especially if you like your hot chocolate on the thicker side. For the price, the value for money is good considering how much flavor you get out of a small amount. A lovely treat and something a bit different from standard hot chocolate mixes.

Bought this after looking for a cheaper alternative to the real chocolate flakes used in velvetiser as as lovely as they are my 3 kids absolutely plough through them. We’ve tried loads and they either taste foul or are ridiculously expensive. I’m from a Spanish speaking family so we know all about churros (long piped Spanish doughnuts as in the drawing on front of the packet) and chocolate sauce so this packet caught my eye on amazon. If you follow the packet instructions you will get the thick sweet sauce served in a small cup as a side to churros not the hot drinking chocolate most people are used to drinking in the uk. Good as a chocolate dipping sauce or for baking however. We found 2 heaped teaspoons was more than enough to make a lovely still sweet creamy hot chocolate in the velvetiser. You could add more to your taste but is a very sweet chocolate anyway (you can see the sugar crystals in it) and this measure makes it better value and means we can have it as a regular subscribe and save without breaking the bank. A slightly bigger bag would be good if there was a saving on it though! We do use full fat or semi skimmed milk though so I can’t comment on plant based milks for the vegan option but I wouldn’t really recommend using hot water but then I don't think any hot choc tastes good with just water sadly!

This gives a really thick hot chocolate (it’s like drinking a mug of melted chocolate). For me that’s great however my husband found it too thick (hence the star less). It was easy to solve though just adding more milk/ less powder. We have used it with almond milk and it was really tasty and silky smooth. Would definitely recommend.

Me ha gustado mucho porque en un momento tenemos chocolate espeso hecho y no tenemos que estar mucho rato dándole vueltas en la olla con la leche, otras marcas que he probado tardan más en espesar, con este es muy fácil que salga el chocolate espeso y sin apenas esfuerzo ni pérdida de tiempo, así que en menos de 5 minutos tendremos nuestro chocolate listo. Es normal que lleve azúcar, es chocolate de siempre y encima lo he usado para los churros que también llevan azúcar, un capricho alguna vez no pasa nada. Me ha parecido un producto muy bueno, si que es verdad que su precio es más elevado que otros chocolates pero merece la pena tanto por sabor, textura y tiempo.

Lo que más me ha gustado del chocolate en polvo es el pontente sabor a chocolate a la taza, muy rico y , otra cosa que me ha sorprendido especialmente es su textura que es bastante cremosa, para lo que cabría esperar de un chocolates en polvo de marca, al menos para mí, bastante desconocida. Como aspecto a mejorar destacaría que en su composición está en gran parte la presencia de azúcar y que el formato es de 200 gramos.
