Severe narcolepsy- Saved my life!!!
UPDATE: I've now owned the pavlok 3 for 7 months. It still works, still wakes me up, and still functions as well as the first day. The battery life has dropped a tad, but nothing significant. For reference: I ONLY use this watch at night (read below), it comes off in the morning. On a full charge I'll get about a week out of it. I've lost 50 pounds because I'm so much more active and now the band barely fits me. I did go through 2 weeks where it was dying constantly and reading the wrong battery percentage but then pavlok updated the firmware and it fixed the problem. It has a smart alarm where it will continue to go off every few minutes if it senses that you're still lying in bed, it has an escalating alarm where it will get stronger over time AND a light sleep setting so if you're not in deep sleep when it goes off or can zap you weaker at first. I do wish to God they had a sleeker, slimmer, more feminine version, and that I could actually tell time with it (the watch face doesn't light up at all, it's just there to host the plates that shock you). But at the end of the day, I'm not going to complain about something that helped me literally save my own life. If you're considering it, buy it. For real. I don't even write reviews. THIS watch though? Is worth every word. I have narcolepsy. I sleep like the DEAD. Normally I have to set 20+ alarms with all different sounds, that I have to change up weekly in order to wake up to them. And I still regularly sleep through them! One thing ALL my exes hate me for? MY ALARMS. I'm not joking, it's obnoxious. Few months back I was diagnosed with Narcolepsy and I started a new medication for the narcolepsy where I have to take it right before bed, then wake up 4 hours later to take it again, and then get up in the morning. So not only did I have to wake up in the morning, but in the middle of the night. After I missed that second dose 3 times, I bought this watch. I could NOT afford to be unmedicated (read: I have a 5 year old and a propensity for totaling cars.) I haven't missed it since. I set the beep and vibration to 100% and they still don't wake my partner, and the zap to 80%, which is pretty strong but it gets me up. BECAUSE OF THIS WATCH, and taking the medication regularly I now don't fall asleep during the day at all anymore!!! I haven't been able to say that for 18 years. And the beauty of it is my brain knows the zap is coming so unless I'm trying to take the second dose 2½ hours later because I don't have enough time to sleep to wait the longer option (4 hours) I'm typically up and have turned it off before it shocks me. I have to take that second dose 6 hours before I have to drive so there's some math involved. This watch made it possible for me to take the dosing within the therapeutic window where I need to. If I have to take it 2½ hours later the medication is still pretty active when I wake up so it's a lot harder to wake up, but I'll wake up to the zap and successfully take that second dose that ensures I feel great the next day. My entire life has changed in two months. It's insane. Obviously, the watch isn't responsible for fixing the symptoms of my narcolepsy, but i was on the verge of being taken off this medication because i couldn't wake up. Without pavlok, i would've verb taken off, and my life would've continued in a downward spiral. But it gave me the ability to do the treatment so consistently that instead I now feel better at 32 than I EVER have. I wish I found this watch years ago. I would've lost less jobs, slept through less alarms, not been judged as being lazy or having bad time management by so many people. None of this was possible without waking up, and that's what this watch did. Thank you pavlok.

Terrible value for money. App has more bugs than a Motel 6
This product is genuinely a good idea, and it serves its purpose as a shocking way to wake yourself up. As an alarm clock, it works very well, but don’t expect it to do anything else for the amount of money I spent on this product I feel I receive no value for my dollars not even the instructions that are printed on a QR code scans and works the app is completely pointless and useless. You’re able to set your alarm but that’s just about it. My sleep tracking has not calculated or tracked my sleep a single night of wearing this thing for a week straight. The app is absolutely full of bugs and feels like it has not been updated in years and the fact that they offer an AI subscription when literally every AI in the world is free at your fingertips is a joke. Maybe they should take a look at the anthropic AI coding model and try to get the bugs out of their app before worrying about charging you a subscription for some stupid AI habit breaking thing. Very disappointed in this product they should stick to what they know and sell an alarm clock at an affordable price instead of building an app that doesn’t work. And they should start by making an instruction manual that you could actually read.

Great Product!!! A Lifesaver!!!
I read a ton of reviews for this. A lot of people said it was made cheap and doesn't have a clock on it or it stopped working. So far, it's been amazing! Obviously, it's small and there isn't a lot to it, so sure, its going to feel light and cheap, but it has worked perfect so far! I definitely don't see why it's almost $200 though... It probably coast $20 to make, but at the end of the day, it does the job! If it were priced around $60, they would probably sell more of them. The shock is intense and every time, it gets me straight out of bed! The purpose of this though, is not a watch, so I don't know why people complain about it not having a clock... that's why your phone it for. It's pretty smart too, because I tried waving my arm in bed to simulate jumping jacks and it kept shocking me. I literally had to get out of bed and do jumping jacks to turn it off lol I've used if 4 nights in a row now, haven't charged it once, and the battery life is still in the 90%! There are only two things I'd change, other than the price: 1.) You cant do just shock, which is very silent, you have to do a combination of shock, sound, and vibration, but it wont let you do ONLY shock for a wake up alarm. 2.) The sleep tracking works, but once you close out the App, it doesn't save the data, so I cant go back and compare my previous sleep data to a previous night. At the end of the day, I bough this to wake me up and keep me from sleeping in and trust me, IT WORKS! There is no sleeping through these shocks hahaha

READ THIS BEFORE YOU BUY
So I have a very hard time waking up. I can sleep through a train. My alarm wakes my roommates from across the house up except me. Saw the Pavlok 2 shock clock and realized there was this new 3rd gen. **problems The top most button clicked and has been broken and become ridiculously hard to press if it even does(being 6,2 230) that is terrible. (Within first day of purchase) so obviously did the replace return on it for a new one and guess what?! The shock was broken on that one and the button was too. So I’m keeping the original one due to the fact I wanted it as a alarm clock. And that part works. It gets 3 stars because it will wake you up. The watches are sadly very cheap feeling for 200$ you’d expect something that felt 200$. But hey best alarm clock you can get . This is 3 days in so I’ll update if need be. Also the app navigation is not good. I’m a developer myself. It feels very cluttered and not intuitive to get to where you need to be. And since it’s not intuitive you’d think it would give you a rundown of the whole app somehow and it doesn’t . Anyway I don’t normally write reviews but this deserved one being it was 200$. Anyway ✌️

Alarm clock, but not much more
I am a heavy sleeper and it is difficult to get up in the morning. Even loud alarm clocks don’t wake me up. The electrical shock that this watch delivers definitely gets me up in the morning! I’m giving this product four stars because that’s the main reason that I bought it. However, the band is super uncomfortable and not very stylish. The device itself feels cheaply made, and is not durable. The first week wearing it at work I had it all scratched up. (I am a GM at a restaurant). The app is very clunky and full of bugs. Some of the features don’t even work correctly. Random side note, I also noticed that there is always a 30% off sale no matter what. Currently it’s a 30% off Mother’s Day sale. In April it was 30% off for spring and back in March it was 30% off for St. Patrick’s Day. Personally, I believe I overpaid for this product. I believe I paid just shy of $200, but can’t recall as I write this. It’s not something that I wear during the day anymore as there is no need. It’s simply an alarm clock that I wear on my wrist at night. I also think that the marketing strategy needs some work. Overall, I think it’s a really cool concept and I appreciate the impact it’s made on my life. I would be more please with this product if it were cheaper and not advertised as a multi functional device. A simple shock alarm clock offered in different colors for half the price would maybe sell more.

Glitchy. Very glitchy. The app is glitchy and the watch is too.
For waking yourself up, it’s pretty good when it works. But turning it off is difficult. I had the alarm set to force me to do jumping jacks but the watch or app doesn’t recognize the jumping jacks so it just continues to shock. The shock is effective for me. It’s not super strong but you can set it to shock you multiple times in a row and that makes it more effective. However, setting the alarms up is glitchy. I had to do it multiple times and often the app freezes every time you try to set the alarm. The only way I could turn the alarm off is toggling the alarm off and on in the app (which often doesn’t register that I touched the screen). There are no detailed instructions that come with the watch. It’s kind of like… just figure it out. I often have to completely reset the device. It’s a real pain. BUT if they could fix the glitches, it would be a great alarm.

WOW way way better than expected. Must have been updated
LOVE it! Works even when my phone dies, or left in the car! Idk why people are saying connectivity is bad I've never had something work this consistently with this good of a charge AND INDEPENDENTLY of my phone lol this is amazing not today, ADHD! I own a Fitbit and the sleep tracking is more consistent than the Fitbit, and the charge lasts longer. Haven't slept in once since purchase almost a month ago. And I don't get shocked! Its just a vibration that escalates (if you set it to do that. It's called progressive alarm. There's also smart alarm, which is basically what Fitbit attempted to pull off but failed and made my watch not go off at all -- but the point of it is to wake you during a light sleep phase, which allows it to wake you up a little earlier than you set it to. Honestly this thing is way better than any other health watch I've owned my only complaint is it's not waterproof like my Fitbits are. The alarm starts very very gentle and over the weeks I've started waking up to the first vibrations. I have to wave my arm back and forth pretty aggressively through the air to get around getting out of bed and doing jumping jacks (I set that as my preferred wakeup method there's a ton to choose from and all work awesome) but honestly I can't go back to sleep after waving my arm around like that, it's basically the equivalent of getting up bc my arm is probably moving faster and more aggressively than if I were to just get up and do a couple jumping jacks. Takes probably 5-10 seconds or so to turn off with this method but if my arm is not FULLY extended and moving at a certain speed itll keep going. so really, it's quite effective, and there isn't a way to cheat it. Unless you're awesome at going back to sleep, but there's an optional setting to prevent that too!!! With this enabled, If it sees your arm not moving for a certain period of time shortly after your alarm goes off, it will repeat it! How genius is that? No more snooze button. Just see if I'm moving. That simple. 10/10 recommend. Dont listen to others about the app. It's definitely not a pavlok problem if my rebuilt potato of a phone can run it - and the watch doesn't even need my phone. I was worried at first and then realized I haven't even been plugging my phone in at night. The watch will wake me, and I still won't know where my phone is. I would buy this watch 10x over again literally just for that reason. If you're wondering about compatibility, I don't think that's an issue. I have a Google Pixel 6a, it's a pretty damn cheap phone, can pick one up for under $150, not to mention it's old. I've broken it once and gotten it repaired It still has parts that don't function like the fingerprint sensor.

Best thing to wake me up from the dead
Best thing I've purchased to help me get up. So many settings to help actually make sure I'm up instead of just an alarm that I can turn off. My alarm zaps me five times and I have to solve a puzzle to make it stop. And if it doesn't feel me moving after 5 minutes, it will start zapping again. I don't wake my husband up with 20 alarms anymore. Yes it tracks your sleep but that's not why I bought it. It's easy to use and you can set it up any way you like in the app on your phone.

Cineasta assurda

Effective at waking me up.
I am a heavy sleeper and this method of alarm wakes me up.Also a member of my family has partial hearing loss and they use it to wake them. I think it’s a great invention for the partial hearing community. It is also an attractive device. My son has used it as practical jokes and conversation starters as well!
