AMAZING, very absorbent and no chemicals
I have been wanting to try these diapers for a while but they were more expensive than the typical Huggies or Luvs. I knew these had no chemicals, used organic cotton, etc. and were a lot better overall but we have been having trouble being able to afford these. Finally the time came where I was able to try them out. I love that they are eligible for Amazon Prime! That is a big plus! As far as the diaper goes, it kind of looks like the Dollar General diapers.. almost cheapish. I guess in lamest terms they are rather plain. They have a little design with a teddy bear but its really small. Not that that should really matter in terms of diaper performance but its just not what I am used to I guess, compared to Huggies, Pampers, or Luvs (which are more flashy). These things absorb SO WELL though. My daughter had been filling up her Luvs size 2 (She weighs 16 lbs) so quickly and it made her wake up in the middle of the night more often because she felt so wet. I tried one of these at night and let me tell ya it was great. She didn't even fill it up 100% but it felt so dry!! You know how if you fill up a diaper it feels really smushy, this did not feel very squishy like that and when I touched the diaper on the inside to see if it felt really wet, it did not. The material or whatever is in these diapers absorbs VERY well and the moisture is away from the baby's skin. My daughter would get little rashes and I finally realized it was because of her diapers not the wipes, cream, or what she ate. She could be in the same Bambo diaper all night and wake up with no rash. That is saying a lot! Like I said she is 16 lbs and we have the size 3 which seem kind of big but she will grow into it and it is not too big to where she has blow outs or anything. These diapers are phenomenal - the only down side is the price. I know they are manufactured in Denmark which contributes to the cost, as well as the organic cotton, etc. But it really is a bummer that they cost so much. I had a hard time letting myself get a pack of Huggies for $9 bucks or so. So $15 for 33 diapers is incredibly expensive but so worth it if you have the money. By far these are my favorite diapers and if we could afford to only use these diapers for my daughter, I would use these without hesitation. Bambo Nature - could you lower the price just a little? :)

Excellent Diapers
I love love love these diapers! Our daughter was struggling with recurrent diaper rash in addition to leaking overnight and we tried many of the major brands with no luck. I was a bit skeptical at first since they are so much more expensive than traditional diaper brands but they have been worth every penny. Pros: - Since using these (we started when our daughter was in size 2 diapers) her diaper rash has nearly been eliminated - Super absorbent. Despite being thinner appearing than most brands, Bambo diapers can absorb an amazing amount - Leak resistant. Though these diapers run large, they have soft elastic to ensure they fit well and don't leak. I actually use these as overnight diapers for my daughter since they are so absorbent and leak resistant - They are very soft - Biodegradable, chlorine and perfume free Cons: - Cost - No wetness indicator (I didn't miss it, but if you are used to having one it does take a half second more to check for wetness) I would recommend these diapers to anyone. To me, no price can be placed on my baby's comfort so the higher cost of these are worth it.

Great product
Before our daughter's birth we did a lot of research into the diapers available on the market trying to find the right balance between product quality and price. Based on online reviews we had already decided we were going to use Bambo Nature diapers. When our daughter was born the hospital, of course, used Pampers and even though we wished to use Bambo Nature immediately we found that unfortunately the newborn size was too large for even a rather large baby (our daughter was 8 pounds 6 ounces at birth). So we had to continue to use Pampers until she weighed about 9 and a half pounds. While Pampers is a good product it was already starting to give our daughter the beginning of a diaper rash so we had to start applying Desitin. Once we were able to switch to Bambo Nature the diaper rash problems disappeared. Yes, we missed the wet strip indicator from the Pampers but that was a small inconvenience. Additionally we found very quickly that we could detect a wet diaper by simply touching it- it is heavier and there is no way one can mistake it for a dry diaper. The diaper is thinner than the Pampers but it contains leaks and blowouts very well. Our daughter is 3 months old now and as she starts to sleep for 5 hour stretches we do not need to wake her up just to change her diaper. It is also very soft and our daughter's skin appreciates it. Bambo Nature diapers are more expensive than Pampers, but we believe we made the right decision for our daughter. Ordering them through our monthly Amazon subscription has been easy and reliable.

Excellent diaper.
Excellent diaper. Had to take off one star just because of the hefty price tag, even with subscribe & save, still pricey. I've red other people's reviews that this diaper runs large, and yes, in comparison to others, it appears that way. However, I find the extra length a welcome feature in preventing my baby's liquidy poops from escaping up the back of the diaper (LOTS of explosions up the back with Honest). We've had close to zero "accidents" with these. The diaper is also super soft and super thin, not thick and bulky like other brands (Honest seems chunky and not as pliable to me). Never had a leak out the sides either. The velcro tabs are easy to pull open (didn't think this was a big pro, but after trying Naty brand and having to man handle the tabs open with a squirmy baby, I've come to appreciate it), the velcro tabs also stick to any part of the diaper which is nice when wrapping it up to toss (also unlike Naty where the tabs only stick to the little strip in the front, so when you try to wrap up a full diaper, it falls apart). I read something that said these diapers had a wetness indicator - there is not one on the size 3 and i don't remember seeing one on sizes 1 or 2 either. I don't find this to be an issue and really, if you're changing diapers regularly, you can tell if it needs changing. if you're looking for a great, lightweight, earth friendly diaper, and can afford the price, this is the way to go.

Bambo diapers are the best!
These diapers are the best (well, out of throw-away diapers). They don't stink like chemicals and perfume like the main conventional brands out there (like Pampers, which the hospital put our baby in while there....with chemicals that turn the front a color to indicate pee). I like that Bambo smells like nothing, and who needs chemicals to change color to tell you there's pee? You can tell when there's pee... the front of the diaper feels like there's pudding in it (it gets all padded when there's pee). If there's no pee, the diaper feels crunchy and dry. Anyway, and these don't leak and fit him comfortably. Well, granted we did a lot of research on diapers before going with Bambo and lots of reviews said this one was best for no leaks (even among the conventional diapers). As long as you make sure the inside flap is in, and the outside flap is out, it shouldn't leak. We've had no problems, even when we let it get really full. I would say we're always using a slightly larger size than indicated, like going into a size 4 when poundage says he could still fit in a size 3. So if you're unsure of size, or closer to the higher end of the poundage for that size, go with the next size up. We also fold the top-front of the diaper down over the tabs to make sure the tabs don't rub on baby's belly (our midwife did that when he was born to protect his belly button, so we've just done it ever since, especially because one time we didn't and the tabs left a red scratchy mark on his belly...any diaper tabs probably would...just a neat trick for parents out there to increase comfort). The only other brand we use is Honest, because they're also way better (natural-wise) than conventional brands, and they're available at Target, but we only get those when we're out of Bambo and have to wait for more to arrive via Amazon Prime.

I really really wanted to love these, but so far not super impressed
I really really wanted to love these, but so far not super impressed. While pregnant, I did a LOT of research into which diapers are the best/would be the best for us. I was looking specifically for unscented and with no chemicals, which originally had me looking into cloth diapers. Living in NYC with no washer/dryer meant having to wash the cloth diapers at the laundry mat… which I wasn't interested in. This led me onto a google search of the best diapers fitting my criteria. I found Bambo on a site that compared all sorts of diapers to each other and it rated Bambo the top eco friendly diaper on the market and specifically rated high in no leaking. PROs: eco friendly unscented soft (my 7 week old has not gotten a single diaper rash) CONs: -almost 50% of the time he poops, it comes out of the side of the diaper. I can't figure this out?! At first I thought maybe it was because the diaper was too big on him, but it still happens and he's 13 lbs now. I've tried a bunch of things to try to remedy the problem including: fastening the diaper on really tight & widening out the inside elastic before putting on each diaper. I think this has helped some (it used to happen more 75% of the time, now it's a bit under 50%). It's not even like he poops a lot - it just comes right out the side. Considering one major bonus in these diapers was that they won recognition for not leaking, I don't understand why this happens. Does poop not count as leaking? -they run large. Maybe this isn't a real "con", but if you've done a lot of research and prepping before you have a baby and stock up on what you think will be the right sizes, this is a problem. More specifically: Size2 diapers say they fit 7lb-13lb. My baby was 9lbs at birth and when we put a diaper on him it was HUGE. We folded down the top of it so it wouldn't rub against his umbilical cord, but sometimes it inevitably would. We had gotten newborn diapers as a present from another brand which I hadn't necessarily been planning to use, but they worked well until the Bambo ones fit better. -they are expensive compared to other diaper brands. Honestly, I didn't care about this at first because I thought it was worth it considering there were no harmful toxins & it was considered a great diaper and rated top in its kind. However with the leaking problem I've encountered, it really is annoying I'm spending way more on these diapers than any other diaper on the market (including other eco friendly/no chemical ones). -there is only one pattern and it's not that cute. Compared to its major eco-friendly competitor that has super cute patterns on all their diapers, Bambo's are kind of boring and dated. Just a white diaper with some green grass on the top. Again, I would not even be commenting or caring about this if the diapers performed as I expected, but it is worth noting/comparing.

After Trial and Error, First Time Parents Found Their Go-To Brand
As first time parents, we received several different types of diapers from my husband's diaper party (man version of baby shower) and my baby shower. We have gotten Pampers (of course especially since hospitals send you home with them as well), Huggies, and some off brand types, but the ones we became most accustomed with are Pampers and Huggies. My baby did well with Pampers and here's what we loved about them: The blue strip indicator that appeared when our baby soiled the diaper (the CON to this is that you start to change the diaper more often then you really should. Sometimes you end up changing the baby sooner than he's ready because the blue strip just conditions you to change the diaper. "Blue strip? Oh! Time to change the baby!" When you do this he/she may not have been ready yet because he/she had to still poop. Because of the blue strip prompting a change, we've faced some more accidents than we would have liked. Anyway, we also liked the softness and flexibility of the material. What made us want to switch? The blue strip, though convenient, means more chemicals on the baby and we are a family that chooses to be environmentally conscious and also want to keep as much chemicals or unnatural components away from our baby as much as possible. We're not anal hippies, we're just informed. The next brand, Huggies. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WE LIKED ABOUT THEM. I knew from the start I wasn't going to like Huggies! Here's why: After three uses my baby had a reaction. The material feels like recycled cardboard mushed up with old newspaper which needless to say it's not soft at all! Moreoever, the front and back practically look THE SAME. I mean we're not stupid to not be able to tell the difference, but the front and back of the human anatomy are different people, so there should be some tailored fit don't ya think?! Huggies are not absorbant at all so the baby fusses almost right away for a change because it's so uncomfortable. Oh okay, wait, there IS ONE THING we like about the Huggies. It has a rim that goes up and around the baby's bottom to prevent any poop spilled up the back, but that's about all the benefit there is. Those up-the-back accidents only happen when the baby's bottom is held shut for when you're holding them wrong while theyre pooping anyway so those rims aren't super necessary. SO WHY DID WE SWITCH TO BAMBO NATURE AND WHY DO WE LOVE THEM?!! They're super soft and come with super cute and simple generic designs. No brand pushing agenda (peace out sesame street and disney). You can feel and see the quality of the material and we have had less diaper rash episodes with this diaper. The diapers are super stretchy and flexible so when you're wrapping it up with added dirty wipes and big messes to toss, the clasps will hold it as you wrap it all up into a ball. There aren't any indicators like a blue strip on whether there's a mess or not, but experienced parents will know when somethings going on down there or not without any visual indicators. So again, not super necessary. With the acception of Huggies that is; their material is so dang rough that you can't tell what the heck is going on inside there. Bambo Nature is easy to tell when there's a mess, but they're also extremely absorbant. It's kind of amazing. When our baby started to sleep through the night, we wouldn't know if the diaper was soiled until our baby woke up in the morning. We're still surprised how everything that happened through the night all held in the diaper without irritating our baby. So, should you give these diapers a try? Yes. Yes, indeed. Should you throw Huggies in the fire and never think twice about it? Yes. Yes, indeed.

Great for babies that normally get rashes from disposable diapers!
Our daughter got a terrible rash from using pampers, honest company diapers, and even the disposable gDiaper inserts. We have had to use cloth diapers. We tried these with the hope that there was a disposable diaper out there that we could use during vacations. They worked like a dream. They never leak (which was a huge problem with the Honest Company diapers), they are environmentally friendly (unlike the Pampers), and they are way more absorbent than the disposable gDipaer inserts. She hasn't shown signs of any rash after four days of use. I am very impressed. My child is long and thin, and the fit is perfect. I haven't been able to find the wetness indicator (which is not a big deal). Also, these diapers are pricey. But you get what you pay for, and I think these are the best disposable diapers on the market. The Honest Company diapers are cute, but a much lower quality, and close to the same price as these diapers.

Hold a lot
These are great and hold a lot. Can get away without doing a change early hours before sunrise. Was previously using Natty nature nappies size 1 but found these too big as they would leak, particularly up the back and sides. Found these which go up to a smaller weight of 9 lbs. So fit better. Whereas Natty nature size 1 goes up to 11lbs. So for anyone getting leaks or problems it's likely that this size is not quite the right size. Try a different size or brand maybe. Our little one is quite small so the standard size 1 in another brand was too big. They fit a lot better especially around the legs. The front band has a picture of a small teddy. I use that as a marker for pulling the sticky tabs round and in place. Almost wrap it around more than half his body to secure it but it works. Plus I'm weary of all the chemicals used on nappies and in production, including what goes into landfill. Especially when it's against their delicate skin. These being more eco friendly is a bonus. I'll always stick to the more eco ones like these.

Good fit for newborns
Perfect size for a newborn. Mine are late preterm babies and these diapers fit them really well. Absorbency is quite good, stays dry for 6 hrs easily. I am happy with the purchase slightly overpriced than other brands but justifies the hike
