They were the exact type I needed. Was able to use the same screw holes to replace and was very easy to adjust the pins on it. The latching mechanism works great and is quite strong. I used it on three different types of doors. I saw some reviews suggesting it was hard to install because of the precision placing required. Just install the receiver and place the plunger in it. Then use double sided take on the back of the plunger and close the door. As you open the door, make sure the plunger sticks to the door. Mark and drill and you will be in precisely the right spot. Admittedly easier with a cabinet where you can still get behind the door when it closes. But a little fiddling, and you can do it with single door cabinets as well. Is that adjustable?** A: Latches are well made and tension is adjustable using the flat head screws on both barrels of the female catch. Does a great job of dialing in the catch tension. One of those "buys" that was nicer than expected. **Q: Is a centerpunch recommended prior to installing the screws? If yes, what type of centerpunch and what size? Pilot hole too?** A: Catches are usually hidden, so I do not think a center punch is needed. A self centering drill bit may help, but a small drill bit will do just fine. 1/8 or 1/16 bit should be fine too. **Q: How is the screw quality, stainless as listed? What size screw is used for the 70mm catch? #6-5/8" (M4 16mm)? Thanks!** A: The screws that came with latches worked well for me. If your surface is too thin take a screw with you to a hardware store & buy bolts and nuts with countersunk head with length you need. great latches & are adjustable for tightness .
