Very effective!
I’ve only been using this for a week but within a few days I noticed that I was breathing more deeply than I had in many years. Really engages those deep core muscles. Side bonus is that it gets rid of hiccups!

Too difficult at lowest setting for stroke patient Get the blue one first
Does what it says. But I am a for year stroke patient wanting to get control of my air and improve my voice, with a dream of being able to sing for myself and my wife. This is too difficult, the lowest settings are still very difficult, I should have bought the blue one first. I have done so now, it will arrive tomorrow. I want to get to work so badly with it, this one still helps, my wife says my voice sounds stronger after one day, that is mostly I am paying attention to mechanics.

Only supports I Phones on the app
The Breather Voice really helps me with strengthening my paralyzed vocal cord. It is easy to use and beautifully designed. However, there are similar units at vastly less cost. I got this unit because I liked that it came with an app to keep me on track. But the app is not available for Android phones, only for I Phones. Their Amazon listing and literature all says it is supported in the Google Play Store, but it isn't. I emailed customer support about this and they confirmed that it wasn't available. They offered to let me return it. This is false advertising and very disappointing.

Just get it and use it!
I took the recommendation of John Henry Vocal teacher from YouTube and I am so happy I did. I wanted to become a better vocalist, but I needed to improve my breath support. All the breathing exercises fell flat for me. I couldnn't connect consistently. I have been using the device as instructed through the inclued app for the last 6 months. I miss days here and there, but the practice and habit is set. I know without a doubt this has improved my vocal ability and helped me overall as I move throughout the day. My abdominal muscles have strengthened helping to improve my posture. It's small, lightweight, inexpensive, and the video instructions make it user-friendly. Only positive results for me and I will continue to use.
