Complete and insightful
I have read a number of the author's books. While it is hard to say his work is completely groundbreaking, where he excels is the completeness of his information and readability. This book simply and easily addresses the question: how can you make better decisions. While touching on the psychology, it is very much a user's manual. Quite a number of exercises for the reader to get a sense for how to implement the techniques and, above all, approachable for pretty much anyone. The ideas here are applicable if you run a company, or just want to be more effective in manage the silly, incidental decisions in life.

A must-read book on decision making with exercises!!
What I liked the most about this book, is that it is not only well researched (without being boring or too technical) but for the fact that it comes with crucial exercises that felt like you were being coached by Damon into a growth and more efficient mindset as well. The book was longer than I expected but it doesn't feel that way because it really grabs your attention. I'd strongly recommend to not try to skim through it or read as fast as possible, I believe the book is meant to be consumed step by step, if you really care about the action taking activities shared inside. This one gets a full five stars from me, awesome read!

Good but not great
The books is good for a beginner. If you are already working on management and leadership role most of the contents are already know.

A Great Practical Guide - if you do the exercises!
I bought this book hoping for some practical advice on making tough decisions. I'm on a couple boards of charities that are often confronted with difficult decisions and I was looking for suggestions I could implement, not theory. The first chapter seems somewhat simplistic to me but there was enough to keep me reading. The bulk of the book are the exercises and I found them very helpful. They include a variety for different types of decisions from the mundane to the critical. I generally substituted the authors suggested examples for decisions I was dealing with, in doing the exercises and found them very helpful. The last chapter of tips provides a good conclusion and more practical suggestions. If you read this book in a couple of hours without doing the exercises, you will cheat yourself! The value is in thinking through each of the exercises and discovering how they can direct you towards a resolution. It's easy to read, easy to follow and valuable to implement. Great book!

Absolutely excellent
This is a fast tour through cognative biases and 14 ways of making decisions. At first I thought it was a bit thin in terms of examples, but actually I found the concise approach a good time-saver and it'd be easy to do further research based on it. There's also a strong focus on action. They should teach this stuff in school. I wish I'd read a book like this years ago. Love it.

skills that quickly help indicate which decision is the better one
I've been stuck between options, swamped with anxiety, FOMO, regret, and at worst freezing up and doing nothing. Zahariades book deconstructs decision making, and unpacks critical techniques for getting emotions aligned with known data. In effect providing an effective reality check which quickly helps indicate which decision is the better one.
