Do I install these every 10 inches from very bottom to the top of ramp? If so for a 6 foot ramp I need more than 6 right?

I did, I ordered more and spaced them the same from the foot of the ramp and into the trailer.

How many come in a box?

It's not really a traxmat, they are individual 15" by 1 1/2" cleats. There are six to a box.

the picture displayed is as grips. Your descripton descripes this as being mats. Which isc correct? I need traction grips.

They are grips not a mat. They are individual pieces. Works great on my tilt trailer for snowmobiles.
