This particular valve is made to a very high standard of quality, and will likely last for a very long time without fail. I would place it on the same level of quality (if not higher) as some of the more expensive household name brands available at the big box stores. The kit comes with a union, on each valve, that utilizes a flat rubber gasket for sealing. nothing about this appears to be proprietary or hard to obtain in the event that they might need to be replaced. I have installed many of these throughout the years, and will now always keep one of these on my shelf ready to be installed. I am very happy with this item.
